New to dumbass racing a 72 Polaris star fire factory racer, powered by a 500cc free air tripple,factory tripple pipes and carbs. Any body with any knowledge of These old rockets please coment.

That's a 76 model. (The sled not Russell ) Buddy had it since new. Used to race in southern Saskatchewan

my dad has a 78 txl 340 that he raced xcounrty with and won a bunch of races with. its still at the farm but its seen better days.

that old 250 is one reliable sled. great for kids to learn on.my boys learned on kittys cats then i got a brand new 74 340 colt given to me in 85 that was never used..they rode that for 5 yrs
