Need to buy a new sled for wifey, she doesn't like the pull of the 800's, is the xp or the M6 the better machine? Haven't considered the rmk, heard bad things about main bearings on the brp products, and the M6 is a little heavier but proven reliable. Any input would be helpful.

My father has a 600E-tec. Insane machine. VERY good on gas/oil and very good throughout the power range. Starts and runs like a 4-stroke.

I know M6's are a nice little unit, but I'm pretty sure I'd go with a E-tec hands down.

In my head
I would make her sit on each and take a close look at things like her reach to controls, ride height, the effort to squeeze the throttle, protection from cold air, plusheness of ride. Both great sleds. I think the Cats have better cold air protection and maybe easier throttle pull with EFI. Doo might be a more comfortable ride overall.

I know if my wife is warm and comfortable it's a better day riding for ALL of us. :d

Thanks for the feedback, her riding is basically trails and play areas in the mtns, looking for fresh powder that is not too steep. I think the riding position on the M6 is more comfortable but a little more machine to handle for a lady her size ( 5'6"). Will have to sit on both.

My girlfriend bought a Summit 600 Ho ETEC 146. She loves it. Unbelievable fuel milage and have only topped up oil 1 time so far. Great trail sled very stable and rides very smooth. More of a trail sled than a mountain sled as far as handling.
I have rode it in the hills and it does climb very good pulls hard.

Throttle pull is easy the sled is fuel injected just opens a throttle body

Looks like a landslide in favor of the etec, going to the sled show Friday, should seal the deal then. Thanks for the responses.
