2004 2500 HD with the 6.0 got 13 last time we checked. K&N intake. We were also pulling two sleds on a triton two place WITH salt guards. They likely make a huge difference as we found out when we used to pull with an S10

Forgot to tell ya that im looking at getting headers too just for a little bit more juice and flow, but look into getting your cat deleted if you know any compan that tunes vehicle computers.....light speed innovations in red deer....then you can have ultimate power and milage.

I had the exact same set up with almost 200,000K and was pulling waaaay better numbers . 16-18! One thing I noticed years ago though was pulling the trailer at a buck twenty you could literally see the gas gauge moving. Slowing down to 100 or 110 nearly doubled the mileage.

Course now I drive an 07 350 Harley and no comparison (diesels the only way!!):cool::beer:

Ive got a 06 1500HD with the 6L and get around 18-20 on the highway sometimes a little more or a lot less, but as soon as anything is hooked on to the ball your luck to get 13 and sometimes if there is a little wind your down to 10. It has little bigger tires and a KN cold air kit.

I have an 08 Vortec Max. I checked the fuel milage after I put a K & N on and was getting 17 MPG on the highway with permium fuel. I also find I get about a 1 MPG boost from running premium which at the 10 cent price difference is 2 cents away from being worth it but you do get a bit further down the road without stopping!

Was the cold air kit noisy when on the throttle climing a hill or passing. My buddy with a speed shop wants me to try one, But I worry that it will be too noisy. I pull a 24ft travel trailer.
