Product Review
Sledding is like golf where there are many good players but only a few who become great....yes I know lots of guys who I’m sure could be in a sled video...But Could They Really!!!
Let me say first, if your looking for a chute climbing video, this isn’t it. There is a section with some chute climbing but it’s not the focus of this video.
If your looking for a video with top name riders, tons of snow, boondocking and chewing it up in what appears to be impassable tree side hilling, then you need to see this video.
The video starts with spectacular videography of mountain ranges that start to bring your heart rate up.
Then the video goes into endless powder, and I mean endless. It’s amazing what these riders do in this bottomless snow that would have the average rider stuck all day long.
My heart is pumping pretty good now so they move into some spring riding where you again see how they can lay a sled over on its side, like it’s powder, but it’s hard, in and out of the trees they go, and were not talking flat land here, they play in the steep stuff.
Then were on to the World Hill Climb Championships and my heart is racing now. I have to say that this is some my favourite Hill Climbing footage, the editing into slow motion and back to speed again was perfect every time.
They do some impressive drops off cliffs and fly of ledges between trees that make you think, this is going to hurt, but they land it. They do some planned ramp jumps and more powder.
For those of who are Canadian it was nice to see footage in Revy, some beautiful footage I must say.
I always enjoy the “Failed Shots” and there are some shown though out the video and a few at the end
It plays like a bunch of clips of average guys having fun in the mountains that just happened to be filmed professionally.
The music is non offensive and it has little narration.
I found myself yearning for the Brapp of sled and whine of turbos but they are far and few between, it's mostly music.
Would I recommend this video, Yes i would and am glad to have in my library.
I give it 8/10 snowflakes.
Riders
Chris Burandt
Brett Turcotte
Dan Adams
Chris Brown
