5.7 liter hemi

hello snow and mud peeps .... I am looking for a 5.7 hemi for a 2003 ram 1500 .... blew the timing chain and truck is still in decent shape

What all got wrecked to warrant an engine swap?

I don't really need an engine swap ...... at 1st I thought it was the timing chain .... but the mechanic says it is not .. possibly the cam , valves , lifters ect ect ... it started out as a little tic and then BANG ....called a tow truck ..... so now just figuring out my options , used , rebuild , crate engine or part out

Go crate engine. Then it will have a bit of warranty

I agree then at least you also know what your getting as well. The prices are pretty decent also

And you can always go bigger like a 7.4 hemi conversion! Just tell the old lady " I had to that's the only motor they had" lol!
