Lmao! Ya there's better ways to give your grandkids there inheritance other than over a pissing match at a 4H sale. The money goes to the kids. The kids are taught to run it like a business. They need to pay for there calf, feed, supplies, suppliments and they save a portion of it for buying next years calf and maybe some savings. The Grand Champion and Reserve champion calves are expected to get a preimium at the sale but once it turns into chit show and someone pays 82k for a 1300lb steer, its not really sending a good message to our youth... IMO. Our club champ went for around $5.25/lb our kids calves sold for around $3.50/lbWhere does the money end up going ? I don't get it , I would think a high sale would be good
