If you’re 200lbs plus and 6 ft tall in okay shape !!
You can ride the heavier sleds with great success and keep up.
Is the lighter sled easier ? You bet .
Heavier sleds aren’t for the midgets that do most of the marketing . Loooool ......,,,,,

Its more than 50 lbs difference. More like 70-100 lbs.. Sidewinders hit the scale at around 640ish full of fuel I just weighed my viper before last trip with a bunch of light weight parts its 620 lbs ready to ride. That 70-100 lbs is huge when in tight trees and off camber inclines, you have to keep your momentum up so much more than a 2 stroke. I don't care how good they hide there weight the weight is still there. You have to work harder to get it to do what you want . Are they better than the old thumpers foresure night and day compared to the apex and nytros that ive owned. If you ride more open stuff meadows and places like the burn in eagles and point and shoot they are great and run forever.

Couldn't be more true . I just rode 4 days with guys all on Doo's & Poo's and after being on a Sidewinder in tight trees and off camber in hard pack in was a chore !

He loves it. He also has a 2020 hardcore alpha and chooses to use this one over that.

Makes sense to me, 270 hp vs 165... Couldnt convince me to go back to a two smoke. Be interesting to see if they come out with the monorail for 2021 on the winder.
