4 post lift for shop

I like being able to move things around. All of my woodworking stuff is on castors and it is so nice

Car lifts are one of those shop things that you dont move around...

But maybe you could get a welder to brace it up for you so it doesnt need to be bolted down.

Buy flush plugs for them when not in use or u will be digging saw dust, mud, screws etc out of them every time!

No that's the problem, I know exactly what I want and this lift wasn't it. The biggest thing was that its movable. I didn't realize there were any four post lifts you had to anchor. Now I do!

I would buy. 15 year old Rotary, Challanger/SnapOn or Mohawk before I’d walk under a lift king.

Park a 6500lbs car on a lift king raise it up. Give it a shake! I won’t stand beside one let along under it.
Lots of guys buy Bendpak, I think they have there place at their price point but have never been around one. For me I work alone a lot after wife has gone to bed so I prefer to be super confident in my lift. To me it’s worth more money! Lifts are one of those things you get what you pay for!

Just put a 4 post in my Dads garage. Went together easy with two of us and the help of his mini track hoe....

This one has casters that can be put on when the lift comes down so you can roll it out of the way when needed.

What are your impressions of this lift so far? I'm leaning towards buying new and this would be my top choice. But might go with an 8000 lbs atlas to save money.

I went with a direct lift 9000pro. Autoquip in Calgary sells them. They were excellent to deal with. You can move it around your shop on the castors that come with it.

True, buying anything used is subject to inspection.
My Rotary was $12900.00 new I paid $2400
New cables, hoses cost me not even a grand which included a pail on oil, honestly I didn’t even need to replace them but it was cheap imo. My pins have zero play. Rams look like new still but probably in 4 -5 years I’ll pull them to inspect again.

Are you pretty happy with it over all? A neighbor has one and swears by them. The problem with these is that its probably pretty rare that someone has owned more than one, so most reviews are probably going to be good unless things went really bad. I can get a similiar sized bendpak for the exact same price so not sure what to do

Am I the only one that thinks that looks sketchy as hell? Maybe well built and by a good name but sure doesn't look stable.
