wow bunged that one up 22/49 mountains

Do you know what track speed your getting with those gears?

I’ve got a 2014 XM 163” that I changed out to a 2016 T3 163” on Avid 7 tooth drivers. I changed the gears when I had a turbo in the sled (I think to 19/51)
) and didn’t change them back to stock when I went back to stock on the motor. Right now, (stock motor/turbo gearing 7 tooth driver) at 8K RPM I’m running about 90km track speed, which I think is slow; but I can’t recall what stock is. I think it should be up around 125-126km/h.

Anyone know off the top of their head what the track-pitch is for a 2016 T3 Flexedge Track? (I think it’s either 2.86 or 3.0).

According to the Speed Calc app (for iPhone, maybe Android), @8000RPM with 19/51 gears (1:1 Clutch, 7-Tooth, 2.86 pitch) I'm at 56.511MPH (90.42KPH) which seams about right for my sled right now.

And of course there are more than 1 option off of Skidoo's parts website. Upper gear can be 19 or 21, and the lower can 49 or 51. (1949, 1951, 2149, 2151).

Stock is 19/51 for the 14 163. The T3 track is a 3" pitch, depending on what turbo you have will determine your trackspeed.

Thanks. Guess I'm gonna have to pull the cover off and see what the heck my gears are. I knew I should've wrote it down somewhere. I gather that 125-126km/h is way out to lunch as well. Should be somewhere around 105-110km/h?

no clue on track speed, stock 2.5" gearing for my freeride was 19/49 with 8 tooth drivers 2.86 pitch, and stock 154 t3 gears were 21/49 7 tooth drivers 3" track. so i geared up one tooth from that cause i figured i could comfortably pull an extra tooth up top with my setup.

You're clearly quoting trackspeed on a flat groomed trail. There isn't a stock 163 etec out there that will pull more than 100 km/h in a snowy climb

I've never seen 50 mph on my speedo on a snowy hill. 44-46 is normal.
