4 screws plus the airbox.I was thinking that too Max.. Like the XP. The new hood looks to come off with 4 or 6 screws?

I moved the the rear linq bracket back a hole to fit my BCA bag with the fuel can.The trunk thingee works fine…
The hood is super easy to take off - you could put in nose cone if you wish.
But I found out with old style XM Jerry can you can’t put the NEW linq bag (the one sitting on seat) as it’s too tight.. unfortunately
165 or 154?I moved the the rear linq bracket back a hole to fit my BCA bag with the fuel can.
Wonder if that would work for you?View attachment 263055
165 short tunnel165 or 154?
would the heat off the pipe negatively impact the durability of the belt though?it happens so rarely i wouldn't even mind taking off the hood. Would it fit above the pipe?
Would the ambient heat from the insulated pipe be worse than the heat generated by the belt running on the clutches?would the heat off the pipe negatively impact the durability of the belt though?
better heat distribution over the whole belt on the clutches? I don't know was just a thought, lots of people seem to really bunch their belts up too when they store them.Would the ambient heat from the insulated pipe be worse than the heat generated by the belt running on the clutches?
I don’t want to drill holes… I’m weird that way lolI moved the the rear linq bracket back a hole to fit my BCA bag with the fuel can.

It's a lil tight for sure, but they fit on my g4. Is the g5 different? Is that the combo your talking about? The trunk thingee works fine…

I too thought there was lack of accessible storage on the gen 5. Belt, tow rope and tool storage etc needs to be quickly accessible in my opinion so the factory rear seat box was not an option. Didn’t have to modify anything really, removed the battery foam and aluminum bracket, turned battery sideways and used some heavy duty Velcro underneath it to hold it in place. Re routed the cables and put a piece of weather strip along the top to keep it tight and boom I have a decent storage compartment. This seat box has a rubber liner to keep snow out from underneath as well. Ski doo tool kit will pop in nicely in front of the belt.
little disappointed BRP could not come up with something that would bolt on and accept the battery right out of the box. No, I do not want to tie up my linq bag with this stuff which is for food, refreshments and extra layers, goggles gloves etc etc.
Yes I have seen this new box. from what I’ve read on the sno west forum it fits the battery and allows the belt but then no spot for the tool kit. PN 860202668brp is releasing a new seat box for 24 to fit the battery and a bit of storage.
Looks a bit “rounder”? But doesn’t look any bigger than the current?
