22LR Ammo shortage

never heard of that... what would it be close to? .308? odviously military? Cheap ammo? The reason I ask is id like a bigger calibre cheap ammo gun... looking at SKS... seems like a fun little gun to shoot and rounds are cheap

The SKS under 400 yards has the equivalent punch as a .30-30
These rifles were designed for close combat warfare.

for anything at that distance 7.62x13mm>.223 everyday of the week. Farthest any of my buddies have shot at targets with them is 250 yards, and even that is a stretch.
