Is the 9r pretty noticable power wise from the 850? Looking at maybe adding a 146 khaos matryx slash to the fleet and upgrading the wifes xm she is gettin out of mountain riding for a couple years currently has a 16xm 154x3 and i thought having the 146 in the trailer for the lower snow trips would be alota fun over my g5 turbo.
I wouldn't say it has lots more power than the 850, but it sure opens the tap quick if that makes sense. It revs lighting fast.

I didn’t read through this whole thread but it seems like these new amazing awesome state of the art best on the market reversible scratchers are Polaris’s big new thing this year. Lol.

In all honesty though, I’m a doo guy but would love to give a new poo a try out. 🤣🤣🤣

I've ridden Poo 850 since it came out with the 2019. On the most recent trip in Revy I hopped on a guy's 9R for a quick rip. I thought it pulled a bit harder. $4000 and one year less warranty harder? To me, no, I would get another 850 if I was snowchecking right now.

The biggest difference I felt was how much different his sled handled, I think due to the shock setup as otherwise we were riding the same sled. I made some spring preload changes the next day.

Polaris measures their tracks from inside of belt. Won’t measure much more than the 3” doo track. Mind you that doesn’t hold together either But it’s a step in the right direction for Polaris Deep snow riders I’ve always felt the Polaris lacked traction this will help no doubt put some of that 170hp to the ground

Its been done, but the Polaris crowd will not like the real results. Doos dyno results are accurate on the turbo, polaris is too scared to advertise theirs.

The production boost was dynoed at around 170 hp. Not the magic Bikeman numbers that was floating around.
My old G4 turbo with a 21hp tune was dynoed in Edmonton at 186.5hp.

The 9r, its still a NA sled, so yah Big yawn from polaris.

To bad the new 3.25 wont fit on older polaris sleds, she will be a tight fit.

done it, highest 172 boots g5 180 , that is why polaris wont say and ski doo will. If you think polaris is more than why would they not place it on the side of the sled. It does not mean the boost aint rad, but the numbers people are throwing around are just that...

Care to share video of these dyno runs ?

Because you Polaris guys wont believe the numbers anyway, which I said before, and is evident in your comments. Doo posts their hp numbers, but polaris will not, why is that? They dont have confidence in there engine department maybe?

Take a boost and put it on a dyno in Edmonton. Like I said, my old sled with a 21hp tune made 186.5hp, in Edmonton, so that lines up with doos number, so im inclined to believe the number posted for the boost.

Like I said, the doo guys know what we have, we have a 165hp G4 turbo, and a 180hp turbo. Whats polaris have, oh a percentage increase over what hp sled?

Norona was full of it and is getting backed by the Dooers - have to bail his azz.
When bikeman numbers where high it was good enough for Doo to use. - they are just as full a shat as anybody.
Until two are done - Boost and Doo on the same day Matt and Max are both correct - the numbers mean noting unless you want to spread hearsay about either brand.
Good Gawd what a bunch of whiners, go back to your 24 Doo thread......

See I knew Polaris guys were sensitive and can’t handle the truth.
To each his own I could care less actually, go stick a boost on a dyno instead of complaining and see whose colon is the fullest.

Not bad I guess. 60 lbs less than stock. A lot of that weight is fuel though.

Can someone that knows how to run a tape measure go measure the Polaris track and post a picture? I refuse to believe this. I’m away from my sled right now otherwise I’d do it myself.

Now you got it. I don't really care what HP number each sled has. I hate the way a Doo handles. Guys who ride them do well on them. I even jumped on a G5 and it did the same weeble wobble in the front end as they always do. In it's defence it was a flex edge t motion machine. But now with the full bar track, 15 inch track and T motion XT (no t motion) they are making improvements. Wait until the G6 comes out and they have a new tunnel for the 15 inch track to get even narrower feel for the rider, Gamechanger.
