Buddie just sold a 2015 173 doo 800 with 7000+++ kms for $8500. It had an engine replaced 6000kms. Seems pretty spendy, but some people really loved those sleds.

They are good sleds. I bought a 2015 t3 with 2200km and some good mods done for 7500$ in november.

Id sell it for 8500, with a few more mile on it now though haha

Damn I let my 2015 165 T3 go too cheap last spring then. 2400kms with a few goodies for $6500

It would be better imo just to add the 500$ to the msrp rather than the commodity surcharge BS

I added the limiter strap and t motion delete onto summit x. And seems to about 1200 cheaper than sled with expert package. So are we paying 1200 for basically a handle bar setup at this point niner? I don’t see other than the skid options much difference. Love that dark grey though .

Tough call, i do like that color scheme but i always recommend the Expert package. Multiple Small refinements make a big difference. This sled literally needs nothing while the X model leaves some things to be desired.

with the expert package you get in addition to the summit x

1. Premium suspension package with stiffer calibrations ( in the rear especially with a remote resy)
2. The new DS4 ski ( this will be more noticeable that most think )
3. Adjustable limiter strap now with more adjustability ( i use this every time i ride )
4. Better 2 button gauges ( if you dont go with the fancy tablet )
5. Lower riser block
6. Brake reservoir guard
7. Adjustable brake lever
8. Lower seat for more maneuverability
9. Flexible hand guards ( some make fun of these but reality is they are awesome and dont break, i will never own a sled without them now )
10. T motion XT rigid rear arm ( your an experienced rider you dont need the t motion )


They are both great sleds and will get to the same places but the Experts refinements have been IMO the last few years worth the extra cost. Ready to rock out of the box.

Correct, end of the day the X model has all the important stuff on it. The Expert is just the loaded version

not a fan of the freeride as a package but like you said i really wish they would just make the suspension options on all models. AKA ability to add freeride suspension to the X or expert.

what the summit X really lacks is suspension so if a guy could upgrade the X to the freeride suspension from the factory you would have a really good bang for your buck machine

its not that much different. The only thing we lost from 2020.5 was the kashima coating on the KYB fronts.

Looks like HPG might be supplying this year for the fronts and front track shock, which is fine they know how to build a shock too and the X and Expert always had the same front shock with different calibration. the biggest difference is the 20 position clicker shock on the rear. While i agree mine doesnt get adjusted much it can certainly take more abuse than the standard X model rear shock.

remote resevoir means more fluid volume and less heat = greater performance
