with the ergonomics and power of the new sleds, ie. flip over potential and proliferation of extreme freestyle in the backcountry I’m betting that sever orthopaedic injury’s will soon replace avalanches as the greatest threat to riders.
I don’t think it will get that extreme. Less throttle equals less wheelies. lol. But yes.
Sleds are a lot like motorcycles now. Lots of people have them but not many can ride them.
I love watching people turn in parking lots dragging their feet on bikes. lol I can stop at a stop sign with my wife on the back and 150 pounds of her clothes and Not put my feet down. 1.2.3 and go. No feet

Well Made it to Revy, have not been here since 2018. Good to be back in town.

Snows pretty low but we found some untouched. Just have to look for it.

The first Kirk up lake was pretty much track free on Friday. Not sure what the other lakes looked like.

Man, we just cant catch a break.
11 steps up to Boulder cabin.
This just sucks...A few centimeters here and there isn't gonna cut it.
All the little pockets of snow are being eaten up.
People are sledding lower and lower into the Alders/low snow area.
Damages to sleds.
The big winners here are the helicopter companies around Revy.
One of the busiest years yet for them.

14 day Long range is calling for precipitation, hope so we're heading to Revy next Thursday. Haven't been sledding there in 20 years.

Forecast looks like snow, was planning this weekend might put off given weather and lack of snow.

Well, that was a interesting revy trip. Definitely low snow, we made the best of it. The low clouds sucked, we don’t know the area that well but the new navigation doo gauge definitely helped us get around safely.
No damage, to bodies or sleds but our last day was awesome when we pulled out of the clouds to a blue bird day, but unfortunately a heavy hore frost was on the snow.

Anyone been down to Area 51 or hall recently. Thinking about heading that way tomorrow.

Eagles pass today. Mashed potatoes. Pretty deep. Overall snow pack still low. Water on the lakes, early-season ch!t. Tapped two stumps in the burn gently. All in all was the success first day this year for me and on G5. New doo works really good.

Poured rain all night. Not good. Woke up this morning in Sicamoo and the mountains are green to the top. No mid mountain to three-quarter mountain snow at all fell last night. Hopefully it didn’t rain up high. 🤷‍♂️ Will find out. Heading to Revy now
