I would almost rather the sled tske some damage then me as i get older lol, crazy start to the season everywhere in bc it seems hooefully guys stay safe out there if shes low snow and good vis take the chance u got and explore around

Skihill is shutdown due to temps and wind
I remember going to lake Louise in -30 , -40 with wind chill in my younger days. -20 isn't that cold for a ski hill..

Maybe further east, but not around here. It was -30 with a 50km/h wind at RMR today. Turnout is typically low and those that do are often unprepared for it.

Left glacier house resort today, seemed like alot of guys were just hanging out in the cabins and relaxing , didnt hear the usual 2 stroke sounds in this morning, also talked to another group that left a day early because of the temps.

Deepest day I ever had was snowboarding in -40 at Powder King.

Was in 51, rock was under the surface 3" had a 5' tall straight face on it. Missed with the skis, track kicked the sled 6-8ft in the air and barrel rolled, he impacted the running board on landing with his ribs. He is back in hospital tonight as his lung collapsed.
