Sledding all done out that way Chris?
Rode up the mountain last week on the dirt bike. Snow was thick at 7km mark so sledding would be doable but it's a busy time of the year with the yardwork and boating taking priority now. Working on projects too, to make next season better also. A steel frame that sits in my truck box when I have my deck off. On this steel frame my sled deck ramp installs to make it act as a single sled deck for my 1 ton or my little Dakota. I have another smaller ramp that slides underneath. I also just installed a tube heater in my Nelson garage.

Friends of ours from Beaverlodge did this a couple years ago. They bought a boat that had been used previously on the loop and sold it afterwards. They spent a year in total but that’s certainly not necessary , as long as weather cooperates he said you could comfortably do it in 4 ish months and enjoy all The aspects. Another factor Is. Mechanical failures or fuel access issues. They went offshore to the Bahamas for couple winter months and were held up for quite a while by weather before they could cross back to mainland to continue the loop. Was a pretty cool experience , especiallly going through all the locks, said it’s pretty intimidating. They had a ball .

I never would have guessed you could get from the great lakes to the gulf coast by boat..... Retirement plans may change....

It’s open. Fishing opens June 15 I believe but you can still jetboat. We just respect the fishing and floaters when we encounter them.
