2020 Flash for 850

I am exited to ride one again this year. Last year I felt the engine time wasn't very good.

Havent ridden my sled with the flash yet or with dragonweld clutch kit. Hopefully not too much adjustment

Definitely noticed better throttle response and power. Sled ripped running MDS at 74g at 8100-8250.

Did you loose a lot of back shift with those heavy weights? We are now clutching for this extra power but we have found heavy weights eat clutch spiders and kill back shift.

Its how all the american companies clutch (Heavy weights and stiffer spring) and isn't very efficient. The 850 needs a softer primary spring and a mutli-angle helix to harness the power correctly.

They usually run a horribly steep multi angle helix (60-42.46) with a stiff secondary spring, which again, isn't very efficient. Way to much helix with the gearing the polaris has.

I went from QAP2 to QAP4 Dalton's because of base weight of 62g vs 70g,.. still yet to try your setup Ben.

Rode with a 850 polaris last trip out that had that new flash. What a dog, I was not impressed with that sled at all.
He would leave a horrible black streak in the snow when he hit the throttle.

The sled backshifts good. Using an Slp 120/320 primary with glidewashers and stock secondary spring with 2 Delrins and stock helix. The base weight is 59.7 gram and I added weight to the mid and tip total of 74grams. Also running A set of Pro Gears.

Stock sled vs stock sled,
the doo killed the poo, both 174/5’s

Maybe there is something else wrong with it but thats the second time I rode with that sled. I mentioned the 2020 flash to him cause i was not impressed last year with his sled. He said he had the 2020 flash in it, and it cleaned it up a bit.

Just drop the final force with spring .

Right? It’s shocking to see how many big name performance shops use this strategy. You can’t help but shake your head. But then it’s kinda good because you know what shops to stay away from.

It’s kinda clutch racism but when someone starts talking about 310+ pounds of primary spring pressure I stop listening.

Been on doo since 93, first Poo and the 2020 rips real good, have to admit the doo is cleaner running from an emissions standpoint, but after that the poo just feels like a better sled, soooo easy to work on. Geared it down and added some clutching and was taken back on how much cooler/cleaner the clutchs run than any doo i've had. Such a smooth motor through the bars.
The Doo is hard to beat climbing, comparing it to the poo 154 vs 155 there is more track behind the rider on the doo around 4-5 inchs.
