I'm still riding my 17G4 as the model hasn't changed enough to make me change, when i did look at sleds in the spring, it was a Khaos....

I think of the 300+HP Yamahas of the day.. They somehow had less belt troubles..

Engineering fail from BRP... Why not build a better product instead of an alarm...

I have feeling the bean counters at BRP had a hand in putting that feature in there. They probably saw the cost of all the warranty claims from ‘17 and ‘18 plus the cost of the updates and figured this would be a good loophole to deny warranty on.

I doubt it very much it will have anything to do with warranty. If it did, you would not have the option to activate it, as the manual said.

Can am has this type of belt protection on their side by sides. It can be turned off in BUDS. But it’s sure handy for the idiots out there who can’t seem to figure out when they should be in low gear and not high.

Build a better product, haha that is just crazy talk!
Every knows that Doo clutching is spot on!!!!!

But seriously Doo has done a lot to mask their bad clutching to the point that it is about almost acceptable.
However I think they have admitted defeat as they have started to use Team clutching on some of their race sleds.

The beeper is a nice touch to go with the other cover ups of their clutch issues.....LMFAO again.

Maybe the G5.........

Not Sure
All this will accomplish is make doo riders only ride with doo riders. Can you imagine riding with a bunch of cat and poo guys and waving your arms in the air to say I need a break, my belt alarm is beeping. HAHAHA
Lol first those cat and poo guys would have to get where the doo guys are......have fun with that..

Skidoo race sleds have had a team secondary for along time. Still puzzles me as to why they do not use it on the rest of the lineup but than again, they have been using the same secondary setup since 2011.

Consumer and aftermarket R@D make the sled better.
