Snow is okay. I’d rate it 5/10. Still feel old tracks and the last dump was not a full reset.

Thanks JH!
Time to come back for abit.

Cooler temps coming........

All the wood chopping and splitting is now complete for this season.....

Time to get back to Revy and shovel sidewalks and move snow.... LOL.

all in the eye of the beholder I guess..

Where did you ride? What Elevation and aspect? I rode Friday, Saturday and Sunday and found some fantastic un-tracked snow on Saturday and Sunday and OK snow on Friday.

5/10 Friday, 7.5/10 on Saturday and an 8/10 0n Sunday...best day of the year so far for me. Total predictable hero snow with good traction underneath. Elevation and aspect were key to the good snow. Wind protected East facing above 6500 ft was the key...anything else was not anywhere near as good...not even close.

And yes...I do know what good snow is. I co-owned the old Highways maintenance property at the base of Caribou Basin for 6 or 7 years.

We web to Galloway ion Friday, untracked snow but big wind with warm air and maybe rain set everything up, went over 2000 meters, spun out a few times going up, did find a few spots where crust was a little shallower on shaded side, beautiful sunny day and hot..same slabs breaking off and running down all over

Saturday we went to morsey, great beautiful trails all over, they even groom the pipeline now, but snow as far back as the wall was thin, little better on north side, but not enough, on south side so thin we were in stumps and rocks, went towards yellow gates and fernie snow cabin and it was better pockets, but only pockets we found, had some novice riders with and they were happy, for me I was pretty happy we never hit a rock or stump, lots showing

On Sunday I decided to stay at ski hill and watch kids, but did here that snow at Elkford. Had not Any of the rain or winds , higher elevation maybe was saved.. hope that is correct

Can’t believe how many were at morsey, all three lots full along with sides of rds, heard lots at yellow gates and dump as well, looked like Boulder on a busy day

This area is certainly seeing more and more out of town sledders. Problem is it's not as big as Boulder, or Valemont or any other those area's IMO

Beutiful Blue skies everywhere yesterday.
Cold out.

Trail is the best I have seen all year. We even stopped at 7Km and put on our skates for a quick game of shinny. LOL

People where trying there damdest to make those trails whooped out by constantly hitting the flipper.
I am assuming, to try and break through the rock hard trail to throw some ice on the tunnel.
It is amazing what a constant speed with scratchers do for cooling.

Stopped at a few people on the way up and asked if things were okay. They said yes, just overheating.
They said they never watch the dumb display on the dash while racing to get up to that fresh POW.

Couple guys over the bank that I think were digging for Gold by the rate there shovels were moving.
I guess a bad decision trying to get soft snow, to cool down, when it was clearly evident that all the snowCRETE was hard every where. LOL.

Well we hit every place on the mountain and toured one end to the other in break neck speed.
The speed was needed, to heat up the cabbage rolls. Damn they were good.

I still dont understand why my Twisted Tea was frozen solid.
Thought there was enough heat off my tunnel to keep it thawed?
Did I mention it was slight bit nippley on the hill?

Saw some great carnage on the hills as there is no snoft snow to slow things down or soften those fancy endo things.
Helicopters where making money as we saw some sleds on the ole long line.

People are sure going deep and into places they souldnt be, looking for that phantom snow that there best friends brother and uncle told them that they found in Revy.

Great for touring and seeing the mountain.
Not so great for anything else.

Maybe the expected snow next week will be enough to reload.

Storms are rolling in. Wife is going snow boarding. Anyone have room for a single rider on Tuesday or Wednesday? Ride a 850Turbo.

Saw pics on Facebook. Snow looks good out there

Dont get to excited.........
Some drifted in spots deeper.
8 km and below snowed the other day (just not above that to cabin or alpine) and some last night above that right to top of mountain.
Tapered right off at 9pm.
Started snowing heavy this morning at 3 am.
I do not sleep. Old.....fart, pee, sleep, repeat again every half hour. BWHAAA>

Gives a great illusion of powder but let me tell yah.
Those rock hard tracks are just under that fresh waiting to jar a ski and pull the shoulder or arm muscle.

We wont even talk about WASHING out on the ass end.....

Still need more for a good reload.
Lets hope this one that is coming tonight will drop the necesary amount. LOL

The little 10 inches of fluff today is no where near enuff. ENOUGH. Enuf.
Ferniesnow, How the hell do you spell that?

Usually handlebar deep is a synanym for the enuff word.
Dman now synanym or cinnamin. I give up..

Snow dammit, Snow,

EDIT: There was some fellas around this Saturday climbing all the chutes that usually is a spring thing.
Should be an indicator of snowpack.......
