Actually, Im heading up there this Friday and Saturday. Probably see the clique there doing selfies..
Could ya keep the trail in the trees below that viscous slide path this year. The runout was dicey last year

Rode Renshaw Tuesday. Didn't venture too far because we had some new riders with us. In the Ant hills I would say there was a good two feet in the untouched areas. We rode Bell and Lucille Wednesday and Thursday. Defiantly less there. Still some mines to be covered and Creeks need to fill in.

It rained big time in town last night. Figured there would be more than a foot at Renshaw.

****IF YOUR GOING TO BELL PUT CHAINS ON***

With big trailers or even consider with out. The road was very icy and now polished at the end of the day.

I traveled and stayed with my family and the people in mcbride were all super awesome! Thank you!

Rode Bell Friday/Saturday. Snow was good yesterday and better today but it was busy! Unfortunately I saw more gong shows than ever for mcbride! Multiple groups of lost and stuck unprepared people at the same time. Props to the couple that stepped up and sorted that shat out and saved a bunch of people sleeping on the hill. M

My give a Fawk dial was turned to zero as I had 4 first time mountain riders and 3 of them are 10 years old and younger. My wife’s second time driving a sled.

It was great training for my rookies as I could say that’s exactly what we were talking about in our planning. look at these idiots!

Snow was great for what I was looking to accomplish and the kids little sleds worked better than the worst case scenario I was planning for. I Had a goal of getting my fam up to the cabin. Would have been satisfied with a trail ride. Started with a few cabin Lap and snowboarding/powdersurfing. Yesterday the hill above the cabin was fresh but wind blown at the top. Kids had fresh lines and Face plants on their boards. Later ditched the little sleds and headed over little bell for fresh tracks. All the Gong shows didn’t even go over the top and went to perish east of the cabin.

Today we avoided the crowds and the alpine. Didn’t see anybody out side of the parking lot. Way more big groups than I expected in the parking lot. I would think the common areas are fairly trampled. Snow was warm and would set up when packed.

Saturday pics. Fresh tracks for us. Lots left after the first meadow. It took a bit to build a track for the 200 to get around but it did better than I expected. No 120 or snowboards today. Short afternoon ride before heading home.

Global Edmonton has a news bit on McBride this morning...I just hope that everyone enjoys McBride, respects the local rules and is kind to all that call it home. Thank the volunteers and people that enable us all to enjoy the area and that provide services for us to do something that we all love. Respect the backcountry and take out what you take in. Happy Sledding everyone! Check out the conditions and make a trip planbefore you head out!
