We rode renshaw today. Firstly by the cabin snow was tracked In most areas into Wolverine then Headed in on 27, went to upper blackwater meadows. Decant untouched snow from 1’ to 18” deep fresh. Then into ghost lake, some tracks but was a decent day. Went towards Alberta hill, snow started to come and we turned around, then on the way out Brianh skidoo blew its motor. So we tried a few times to get it out with 2 sleds they were trenching so bad. Will hit them again tomorrow with some extra help but need to see if someone can bring this back for Brian.

I’m not sure who the person was that ran through the renshaw upper parking lot at about 70 km/hr side ways spraying all the people and trucks with mud and rocks. You were pretty cool in a brand new Lynx demo sled, we all noticed you and the large WPS logos on the sled. I will be defannly calling the dealership on Monday morning and bringing this up with management.

Can’t recall his name , but also noticed him come in to the parking lot quite hot this evening . Perhaps to many pops and puffs at the cabin before heading down lol
Could use some more snow at Renshaw, that warm day settled the snow pretty good. Found a few decent spots, but it was pretty wind blown and firm. Especially compared to last weekends blower pow.
Had fun though, burned a tank. Good times, with Ron, Brian and group.

Found some decent snow in anthills and few secret honey holes.....snow has really set up and wind blown in most open areas trail in and out was the best I have ever seen good job Mcbride thank you

It was good chatting with you again Brian. Hopefully your sled gets fixed up soon.
We played around the anthills before we decided to drop down into Weinbergers. A guy in our group found a rock in there amd broke a A-Arm on his turbo. If that impact didn’t crack the bulkhead I will be very impressed.

still a good day riding, not like previous weekend but still found descent areas to play
Still amazes me how people will still play on the face in the bottom of the wormhole and sit below to watch. Sitting right beside the memorial sign. Please pay attention people. One tragedy is already too many.

Thanks for allowing us to tag along, Ron! It was a great day, although I sure hope that Brian's sled was able to be pulled out without too much trouble on Sunday. Lets make sure we connect again before the season is done! Thanks for a great day to the whole crew!

We went in to rescue brianh’s sled. Dropped down drop of doom and in to sled. Laid out a trail to tow it out. Then packed for about 1 hr. Then headed in to sprit lake for a quick cruise, decent snow in there 1 1/2’ to 2’ of pow. Played for a bit then made the trek to get this sled out. Rod W from town, Barry, Barry, and Colin all assisted. Rod tied on to ski’s and I tied on from my back bumber to rods a arms. Then we went for it. No problem, roughly 35 km hr up the hills, one we were up the big hills Rod pulled by himself, a seasoned sled rescuer. The bumpers on the G4’s are garbage. Mine is twisted all ready, guess we will replace it with a real bumper. It was starting to snow as well. Some huge cornaces in many areas, so be careful. The ones in the anthills are big enough to take out many trees like previously, so watch out in that area. There is a few on the big hill that avy’d a few years ago on the way to sprit lake.

Yeah sadly when a sled dies deep in the back country you almost wreck more stuff than the cost of a chopper (belts,bumpers) then dead sled has to melt out for 3 days because engine compt. is solid ice and snow. Back when we all ran mod sleds everyone threw some money in a pot and used it for choppers if needed. Didn't lose a day of riding and any money left over at end of year went to a big party. Thankfully sleds are more reliable now. Its a journey. Lol

I would also like to thank Maxwell who drove from Valemount and detoured to McBride to grab my sled as Brian’s was in Lyles trailer dead, so my Sean came to At Home B&B and loaded my sled and is bringing it to Martins for some service. Lyle dropped Brian’s sled off at 1 am. To get choppers to come to Mcbride it’s very expensive as they come out of Valemount, at a rough cost of $3500-4000 K and the local sled and hand retrieval is around $2000-2500. Which is totally justified when you have 4 people, fuel, belts, trail passes, etc if you add up the costs. Some smart person should develop an insurance policy like AMA for this pay $150 per year and have coverage for that, but you would need a lot to payinto or that would be a bust.
