How much extra height are those spindles... They look sweet!
They are 1 1/2” higher than stock I believe. How much extra height are those spindles... They look sweet!
The initial idea was to get the lower arms out of the snow and less drag with the lower spindles when sidehilling. Dropping the rear skid was a after thought but turned out to be a great little improvement over stock. What was the idea behind your initial A-arm/spindle swap Niner?
So it didn't offer any front end lift like the new spindles or the elevate kit?The initial idea was to get the lower arms out of the snow and less drag with the lower spindles when sidehilling. Dropping the rear skid was a after thought but turned out to be a great little improvement over stock.
It was 3/4” higher than stock. They never advertised the height increase as it wasn’t really a fad yet I think. So it didn't offer any front end lift like the new spindles or the elevate kit?
Yes ran the 19/52 gearing with a longer chain, but the chain stretched and maxed out the auto tensioner. 18/50 is a bit lower gearing and works with the stock chain. Priced out getting a 54 bottom gear cut but was estimated at $600 for one gear and BDX would make some but needed a order for 100 gears. So going lower gearing will have to wait.Low gearing is a farce. Bahahahaha. I thought you were already running a 19top 52bottom gear?
At about 2.75-2.85 final gear ratio I found the performance kind of flatlined. At 3.2+ it started gaining again. It changes everything so it will take some more messing around.
As much I dislike big bird Ben I’d like to share my results so you 2 love birds can keep up the gearing adventures. No one else is doing it so keep on trucking. Don’t give up. You got this.
There dead ends along the way but you can overcome them. U can do it!
Where did you get the 18 tooth gear?Yes ran the 19/52 gearing with a longer chain, but the chain stretched and maxed out the auto tensioner. 18/50 is a bit lower gearing and works with the stock chain. Ben has them.Where did you get the 18 tooth gear?
Do you think 19/52 would fit with a broken in 19/50 chain?Yes ran the 19/52 gearing with a longer chain, but the chain stretched and maxed out the auto tensioner. 18/50 is a bit lower gearing and works with the stock chain. I don’t think it would work.Do you think 19/52 would fit with a broken in 19/50 chain?
Did you try the pefi flash on a 2020 800 yet?It was awesome to see how much better the team Tied is compared to the cats Team Boss. Well worth the conversion.
