Hopefully this works out for you chris. I went down that rabbit hole with slp 10 years ago and did everything they requested. Took the pipe off, went back to stock, got my rpm back and added pin weight.

So would you say these are more aimed at the point and shoot hillclimbers then? Or more a flatland set up? In the fall Burandt and other Polaris mountain guys were raving over how awesome they were working?? Kinda ****ty to release a product and have your Pro riders endorse it; then find out it isn't giving the gains claimed, after guys have already spent the money and installed the product based on positive reviews from trusted Polaris riders.

This is why i'm posting "taking one for the team" I'll have 3500.00 bucks into this set up to see if they work.

I'm not saying they dont make any power cuz they do, just for the money I dont think its enough.

Yes, that sucks! Most all of us have been there, R&D on your own dime. Possibly going back to a turbo?

Chrisco, Making power on the dyno is different then making power on the snow, As you stated before, the twins have to get hot, on the dyno it is easy to get them hot, but harder to get them
hot on the snow, Twin pipes have a narrow power band, harder to clutch for and less forgiving, where as a single pipe has a broad power band and easier to clutch and more forgiving,
That`s why the Aftermarket makes single pipes, more then twins, just because there is no room for them under the hood. In the old days twins were the ticket, but not any more,
better to have a broad power band then a narrow one. I know you know all this Chrisco, And we are lucky to have you testing products for us and giving us your opinion, you save people
lots of money, and that`s good for the industry, Keep on testing and trying products for all of us, great job.

One more stab at it this weekend, Did a little mod that is supposed to make quite a difference in performance of this pipe set. Also wrapped the pipes to see if it helps the cold pipe issue.

I was wondering if you even had them on that black/gold sled since it was so quiet.

Its to keep the heat in the pipes, better performance.

Hope this works for you, it will keep the pipes hotter and could up the HP. back in the day when we added twin pipes we always give it more air, by porting and
bored out carbs.
more air in and more air out = HP. good luck. Wonder if SLP have tried bigger throttle bodies? and if they have did it make any difference.

Yes we did. So to recap the twin pipe deal the last weekend out the pipes ran spot on, clutching was bang on the money and the sled pulled very good. Racing up hill in 2 feet was able to pull and pass on a well clutched stocker with a lighter rider, SO THEY DO MAKE POWER. SLP is also working on a new tune that will make them better and also HM turbos is also working on a tune as well. The sound is awesome coming from the twins and is unmistakable on the mountain lol, people knew I was on the hill just from the sound.
So if your looking for a modest power gain and are dead set not getting a turbo this would be the way to go, and with a good HIGH compression head I think it would make all the difference.

Now on to bigger and better MORE POWER !!!!!!
