Has anyone you know been on the snow with these yet Chris? What's happening on the dyno any feedback?

Yes a customer went up last weekend and was super impressed, hears the info with stock clutching we wanted to see what the RPM was gunna do. "Revs at 8700 on the trail and about 8550 at the top, on the trail its like my turbo at 6500 rpm comes on HARD. No burbles. Didnt miss a beat, putting SLP clutching tomorrow"

I will be riding this weekend and also have the head. Neil at NPP has the part for his dyno to do the 850 Polaris now so im thinking the weekend after try to book it in with him.

it's a good looking kit. that's one thing I like about Polaris, is that's there is always lots of cool mods for them.

I was up at mcbride and valemount this weekend with my kit- and I can say without a doubt this kit makes power. Epic crispness, I do not feel that anything is given up with this kit for bottom end. slp clutching is spot on. I’m on a 174 and with the clutch kit - new helix I do believe it’s. 60/42 it gets the track spinning - the flash IMO is spot on - I’m running shell 91 and about 10 percent 100ll for good luck. No det, no issues whatsoever.

im super stoked with this kit and oh the sound of twins......

I once again say this is a winner....makes power, lotsa snap.

are you using slp weights with this kit? Iim currently using a 62/42 with 75 grm slp weights and im finding my sled hard to settle it down for slow sidhilling, I just switched over to 70 grm pol weights but haven't tried them yet.

So was there ever a dyno run posted for this setup.
Heads, pipes combo???
Maybe something for next year as it is new sled time again.

Nothing yet, just a time thing. Neil is ready and now has the proper tooling to dyno the 850. I feel the head did not make any difference what so ever as the compression is the same as stock and they did not have any true mapping with the head.
Clutching took some time but after this weekend should be done, then we will hit the dyno at Neils.
I feel it does pull good and makes some power but is it 17 hp IDN, we will see. This weekend we should have some good testing info as we have our regular crew.

This is MY opinion over 3 weekends of testing and clutching.
The fit and finish and install of the twin pipe set is top notch everything lines up great and nothing gets hot or melts and they sound bad ass . They do make some power over stock but with the SLP safe mapping I feel it is not enough for the money IMO.
They are at there best on long pulls, the longer the pull the more power they make the pipes need to be hot hot hot to make power. It just takes to much time to get them hot and sometimes when you drop into the nasty there is no time to make a second run to heat up them pipes so you fall short on the power, where the stock pipe is always ready to go. So in short pulls with no run or in many other situations the stock pipe has the edge. Had slp given the option to pull fuel from the map it might be a different story. I tried them with the head and with out the head and had no change in performance and 10 different clutch combos and just dont feel they are worth the money for me and how we ride.
Also I just want to add that i'm coming off turbo sleds for the last 10 years and pretty much everything feels lazy to me at this piont, but if your gunna spend 2500.00 to 3k on twin pipes I think turbo is the way to go just more bang for the buck.
I love SLP products and there service but this setup does not do it for me and I truly gave it an honest effort.

So would you say these are more aimed at the point and shoot hillclimbers then? Or more a flatland set up? In the fall Burandt and other Polaris mountain guys were raving over how awesome they were working?? Kinda ****ty to release a product and have your Pro riders endorse it; then find out it isn't giving the gains claimed, after guys have already spent the money and installed the product based on positive reviews from trusted Polaris riders.

He was posting on Instagram earlier in the year vids of him running them and saying how awesome they are. Sells them out of his shop; and was building custom sleds for customers with them on.
