That being said, looks like the first good dump is going to hit town this weekend...

Looks promising. What about a recon to the Renshaw cabin next week to start with?

You don’t want to be smacking up a new sled yet!! Belle would be your best bet if you’re desperate! Renshaw and Lucielle have lots of hidden gems for this time of year!
Wasn't planning on riding the new sled. I think the wife and I are going to head that direction tonight and check out Belle tomorrow. She can ride the new machine, won't get beat up that way . Might get broken in easier too.

55cm in most areas up Belle. Some decent drifts, but lots of exposed rocks and little trees that I have never seen before. Great day overall! Super impressed with the new Hardcore. I didn't really ride it, but the improvement I saw in my wife's riding was huge.

I heard a guy wrote off a new 850 turbo up on Lucille today... Only thing we destroyed was a couple creeks.

I never understood the itch to risk destroying a brand new sled in early season.. I would love to attempt a ride now, but it would definitely be on some older, if not vintage iron.

The risk is definitely higher this time of year. But a damaged sled can happen anytime, anywhere.

Thanks for the pics and updates.

Agreed. Ride for the conditions regardless of the time of year. We played it safe, it was fun just to be out on the hill. I let the mrs ride the new sled so that i didn't get any bad ideas.

Take it easy and don’t drop a ski or go full wick up a hill. It’s going for the sake of scratching an itch and getting some snow under the tunnel.

I for one am itching. And really liking the 2 week forecast.
