Looks good some nice updates , but I'm picking a new 17 up Saturday and I'm still happy with my purchase!

I don't understand why you wouldn't be. The only difference is the D&R chain case. Honestly it wouldn't deter me from going with a 17 for the price difference.
I have D&R about 6 or 7 sleds over the years, it helps only if the sled actually needed it. There are a number of ways to accomplish similar results. Did the 17 actually need it? I'm sure it will get up slightly quicker but I would had been more impressed with much better running boards then a D&R if I had to choose.
When I was looking I had a choice between the SW and King Cat, I knew the King Cat had the D&R case for 2017 but still went for the SW.
Either way the SW IMO will turn heads next season and no one will care if it is a 17 or 18, enjoy your new sled and have fun with it.

Consider your self one of the few Yamaha rider.....

Yup.. I have my 18 all planned out!! Gonna be fun.. I actually like all the 18 changes however just wish a factory 174. Looking forward to next season! I'm going to leave 162 on to compare to Catman10's 174 and see difference.

Nice work Yamaha. I have always been a huge fan of yammys top notch fit and finish on top of their stellar power plant reliability. Nice to see them attacking the mountain segment. Can hardly wait to throw a leg over one.
