Does anyone know which wiring harness is for the tether? I know they added a new harness for these sleds. Arctic Cat has no tether kits to send out so I want to splice in a universal tether . Been waiting for weeks already. Thanks!

That's my only complaint so far, they should come with one already.

I know it might be a little late but we at Echo Cycle just received a few 2018 tethers. Can ship them if needed. Give me (Bryce) a call there.

If anyone is installing a tether, corded or cordless on a Cat, we have some help for you. Take a look at the Phantom Teth-Air install on our website and it shows which wire gets grounded to kill the sled. This is for the Suzuki motor and we are waiting to have the 18 in our shop to confirm it is the same. Verbal feedback from one of our customers is that it is the same.

www.sourceinnovations.ca go to the website and click on the Phantom Teth-Air in the store. There are pdf install there to view.

The new location of the harness to plug tether into is above the fuel tank just simply take your side panel off and you can easily access it without removing anything. New tethers from Cat are plug and play and are a 5 min install. New supplier this year was the hold up and reason for late shipping. You can still use the old tethers and plug in the old way as an alternative if you can’t get your hands on the new 18’ tether

Installed one today, didn’t need anything extra to get it tight. The installation instructions hqve you taking more that just a side panel off. You might be able to do it with just that, but then I could see having an issue getting it tight.

I got mine tight quite easily as well, no washer needed, however did a tether on buddies 16 cat last night and tether wouldnt work with the washer, it didnt thread in far enough to make contact between bottom piece and top piece, took washer out and it worked

In them hills.
Thethers are junk.
It's 50%/50% chance the sled will shut off when the tether gets pulled.
