174, 175, like really. whats the difference. They are playing head games again for sell's. If i was looking into buying now i'ed be more concern about the short fall in reliability of this sled. That is the #1 reason i did not buy a G4. Were they address or do i need to stock up on belts and modules?

Admittedly, I don't know everyone that sleds in the mountains, but this is my 20th season riding. I'd say I know a few sledders. I don't know a single person that had trouble with their new 850.

It doesn't change the fact that more than a few G4's have had problems. Whether it's %10, %20, more? There have been more G4's with issues in the short term than other new releases in the last several years. It's not just on this forum that people see that. It's on the hill, at the dealers, the pics of them being flown out on social media, and so on.

Sure a few dealer employees on here have never seen an issue which doesn't have a perfectly good reason for occurring but half of the ones who I ride with have had issues.

Weed out posts like this from that thread from non Doo riders just trying to stir the pot and you prolly end up with 25 pages instead of 95?

Haha ya 25 pages is very acceptable.
And what has doo done for those only 25 pages of people. Nothin much, not even a thanks suckas.
Now add in the people that are not on forums.............back up to 95 pages if they speak up!!!

And the confirmed changes for 18 are???????? Yup as expected.

Nothing personel on you by any means......just doo is openly going to fawk every 17 owner with issues be it 25 pages or 95.
I just don't get why someone would roll the 17K dice on getting a working game changer????

Step right up and dump your coin on a snocheck! We need more R&D assistance.
No they don't all work but hey we got great new accessories!

Still can't figure out proper steering. Too bad.
Get over it Troy. That is the way BRP does it and I don't see it changing. To each their own I'm guessing but I went from a Vertical Escape 2004 to a 2005 Summit back in the day. I actually liked the steering on the Summit much better. Maybe I'm comparing apple and oranges since it was soooooo long ago. Remind me once again, what did you ride before the Poo?

No its not just you

I for one really can't understand how the poo and cat verdical steering riders can even ride it that way, I've tried a few and seems u have to use banks of snow or tracks to even turn

Once you are used to it, everything else is dumb.

So you are saying open mindedness is like a dinosaur? Maybe that is why this site is so screwed up and opinionated with certain individuals.

Are you suggesting I not open minded? Or are you the dinosaur? I can't count how often you share your opinion so it looks more like you are just as much of the problem? Maybe?

It's not like I didn't ride Doo for just about the entirety of my sledding life prior to having a Polaris sans one year in 1992 when I had a Cat. Granted there was a long break from my trail riding days to my mountain life but the first of several mountain sleds were Doo's.

I think it's those who only swear by one brand are the dinosaurs. It's brand X or nothing is all I see from the majority of you. Never willing to give something else a try. Likely why so many riders plateau. They are too brand loyal blind to realize what is holding them back.

Mr. Norona is posting vids on the 2018s.

https://www.youtube.com/user/danorona/videos

Edit, crap he took them down. One on the SHOT start, one on the 850 175. I watched the SHOT, didn't watch the 175, it was down when I went to.

The SHOT details...
pull start first start of the day
capacitor holds charge for about 30 minutes
while it has charge you have e-start on the start button
apparently enough energy for two normal start attempts
2 lb weight penalty
