I am a little sad today. Now I know how Cat's mountain fans felt in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.

I should know. I'm one of them! But in our defence '16 was a good year with two great upgrades.

Sorry for the high jack. Back on topic.

For 2018 I think the gaps between polaris, skidoo, and cat will be very narrow. For deep snow the 175 850 will be the winner. Rider skill level will be the biggest factor. I don't think I can remember a year where all 3 had such strong sleds. This is going to be a tough decision.

Actually, you are right, this is the first year that I have to even give it a second thought. If Doo had no issues for 2017 it probably would have been my choice but how do we know the issues will be resolved? I know in the past they were pretty good to fix problems pretty quickly but what about the engine failures?? I don't even think BRP thinks there is a problem yet. These motors were supposed to be bullet proof and that is the appeal to me. I have actually heard of more Doo motors going down than the HO Polaris motors.

Cat sounds really good too but just because no one I know rides them, I can't get enough exposure to consider them.

Polaris, well it has proven itself to me. I know you can kill anything Johnny, so maybe just ride the sled with a dealer that will outright say he will back you when the sled goes down.

Any dealers out there brave enough and confident enough to have Johnny ride their brand? His endorsement goes a long way.

You are full of "heard of" information. A valued asset to snow and mud.

Just got off the phone with Polaris corporate office. The word is they had a complete line to release this year that included the triple, a 2 stroke turbo and a big bore but they felt they decided to hold off another year since the pressure from Ski-doo never materialized when the bulkheads and belts started exploding and the motors all started going down at 2000 km's.

What dealer in their right mind would ever give you a machine to ride lol. honestly. "Hi There, My names Teth air..... Ive been butchering your brand on the internet with completely false claims and unproven facts because someone told me all of these engines are exploding... So I have been on forums talking about how completely crappy all of these machines are... Can I have one?" "Ya sure dude... Do you have an extra engine to bring with you?"

oh man 100% that guy is full of $#@&! He throws out a bunch of fishing lines in the snow and mud pond and the fish bite everytime.

If you haven't ever thought for one moment many of us aren't putting out our own lines for the sake of seeing what Sean can come up with next, you sir are one funny guy

It's unfortunate that he appears to have "peaked" though. Soon he will just be another FredW. Lol
