Had an awesome weekend with a great group of people . Stayed at Beaver Creek Cabins in McBride and boated the McGregor river then a ways up the Jarvis Creek till water got to skinny , then further up the McGregor and did a short run up Kitchi Creek till to many logs blocked it off , pretty boney also . Beautiful area , we launched about 35 kms up the Walker Creek road which is the road that goes from Kakwa cabin out to mcbride hiway. Second day we ran 16 miles up the Fraser then onto the Rausch river and 30 miles up that till It started to get steep and skinny. Weather was ok , cool but no rain , lots of storms at night but the cabins were pretty warm and dry . Love the rivers around there , definitely gonna go back. The video is from a go pro on a buddy's boat, there were 3 boats that went .
It's not bad , pretty much same as most of the SJ's with dog house . My doghouse is insulated fairly well , but certainly not as quiet as a boat with full rear bench and padded couch and top . In this boat I prefer doghouse keeping it as light as possible . Also they have no carpet on interior sides so that promotes more vibration and noise from water contact . This boats purpose is skinny to no water , ease of pushing it back into the water and maximum strength for contact with Mother Earth. It's friggen amazing what this boat has come into contact with , and no damage. Likely one of the lightest boats with full windshield, I'm not fond of the Center console 14-16 ft boats, neither is my wife, and these little bandits are pretty much on par with them performance wise , with added comfort. Fun boat , but specific purpose , not my choice for bigger water or lazy sunny days on the river .
