j.c.higgins;2579 we’re heading up this weekend and commitments that weekend. Shaping up to be a poor season for me so far![/QUOTE said:
We need to hook up for a ride there Higgins........ bunch of us riding this weekend as well, woke up this morning to about 2 inches in the driveway, looking like a pretty nice weekend coming up, bit of sun and snow in the forecast.

that big rock just doesn’t look like it belongs on the edge of that face.

Lol no kidding! Where was that taken?

That would be on your right if you were headed towards weignbugers

I’m not positive of where the division line is between ant hills and black water, maybe some one could clear up the county line for me?

Up Renshaw today, blue sky and 12-20” inches of powder. Over the saddle and ready to rip and the one Pro went one lung!!! Played a bit then limped the pro back to the cabin and hit untouched all over!!! Only 22 riders, tons left!!! Snow was settling though. See there’s a dead soldier at the bottom of the ladder, Cat M1000. 850 percolating, pulling 71grams and still overrevving!!

Ive always considered over the ridge left from Gasoline drop being the ant hills all the way back past the any chute. Gasoline drop being the top of the blackwater with the open country leading towards weinburgers being the backside of the saddle. I could be wrong but this is what our group has used for quite some time now.

Ive always considered that area when you climbed up into the open area from the blackwater, the anthills.
Interesting, the Snow must be low there, I do not recall any rocks that looked like that on the ridge just before the drop into weinbergers.

Snowing hard here right now and has been off and on most of today, got about 4" in the driveway right now. Tomorrow is going to be a blast with lotsa fresh pow to play in!!! If you're on your way take care driving, roads are slick and covered.

The top of blackwater where you enter in from km 27 where a small patch of trees is called 'gas drop'. This is the blackwater area, if you kept going North and a little to the west at the top you would then drop into Wineburgers bowl. If your at gasdrop and look to your west there is a fairly large climb, when you go up there then off to your left (Southeast) you will find yourself in the Anthills, you can also access this from the avy-chute that took out a pile of trees years back. That's right from the bottom meadows, this is dangerous though as you never know an avalanche will occur again and wipe this chute out again.
