Red sands was good on Tuesday. We made it to the alpine but it was snowing hard so we played in the trees.

Up to Groundhog, 2ft of new with a 5ft base. But warmish up there and snow was settling! 850 ran great! Full parking lot.

We were in on the 6th, probed 130cm. Likely filled in all the creeks and rocks in this last storm.

First ones up Salmon today, only one Icy spot that got us but on the way out that trail was nasty icy! Anyways, not windy and great powder, 3ft in the trees 2ft in the open, but bad decisions led to too many stucks. Otherwise great start to the season!

THAT was a dumb move, not paying attention things happen quickly. Took 45mins with 4 guys. Took a bit to dig down to the skis and make a ramp!

Had a great weekend in Blue! Salmon Friday was amazing and Foam Saturday was good 'nuff. new Freeride is just unreal!

Really wanted to head same direction as you on Sunday but we had to make it a short day.
Brother had to pick wife up from airport was the real reason........... Uber it!!!

So heading out tomorrow until Friday.

Only been to blue river once before, any recommendations for zones that might have snow left after the weekend. With the avalanche conditions high, most importantly I want to survive, so looking for recommendations of zones we can stay in simple terrain and away from the slopes.

Redsands may still have some untracked if you look. Salmon was pretty beat on Saturday but still able to find good snow if you get off the main track. Did foam yesterday. There was still lots of good snow down low, trail is awful though
