That’s funny there was no service on the trail into salmon... and typically very few spots other than the tip of a few mountains where I usually ride.... got one phone wet and another broken in 1/2 so I don’t bother carrying one..... snow was about 4 ft deep and has a good base it was setup really well

Sledded salmon lake this weekend great snow in there trail is busted in with tons of nasty willows to plow thru... on ride out a cat rider rolled his machine off the trail into never never land and doubled out.... luck only rolled down about 80 ft but vertical

Sorry just circling back on this, do you know if they got the sled out? Can you keep pushing it down to the road where the trapper cabin is or are you past that point already? Was just talking about this to a buddy as we are going riding there this weekend

Was up yesterday, seems it was pulled out, couldn’t see it anyway.
There was good snow up in salmon, but is still early, seemed like about 5 plus feet

We were in Groundhog today as well. Really good conditions. Trail wasn’t icy like Friday but whooped out good up top and end of day.
If anyone finds a pair of 509 Sinister X black with rose lenses. Were lost on way out around km 10 area. Give or take a bit.

Rode salmon today. There was fresh snow overnight that we didn't expect which made for an awesome day. Rode hard all day long and didn't break a thing although heard others had some carnage. Snow was about 2 feet of fresh on a solid base, didn't probe.

Rode groundhog today, what a great ride, excellent snow. A solid 2’ of fresh. Trail was in good shape the bottom few km had some icy spots. We talked to a group on the trail that salmon was great as well, the last climb on off the goat trail was dirt and ice. The parking lots were pretty full.

I would use a pretty big grain of salt after hearing that the salmon trail is “great”. We rode salmon twice this weekend and up top it’s pretty nice but the trail is far from great. It is definitely really bice for early season but once you leave the groomed trail it’s pretty much sketchy sidehills, rocks, ice, trenches deeper than the running boards. Someone already fell off the trail once this year and it would still be super easy for anyone who isn’t super experienced to do the same.

I’m just reporting what a large group that we met on the y where the trails split. We were going into groundhog east, and we had no complaints on the condition of the trail. For early season this was in good shape, yes there was some whoops once we went past the y but they were nothing much and the rewards were worth it.
