2018/19 Revelstoke and Area Updates

Frisby is awesome. Snowed a bit in town, could be some decent fresh up there today!

Rode Frisby yesterday. Headlight deep snow where I was.

Spent 9 days in Revelstoke. My take on the conditions there are that the service industry needs a bit of a kick in the behind. The town needs way more hotels and cabins for rent. It appears skiers have taken over and oversubscribed the amenities.

Three hotels in process at city hall. One by the Ramada , one on HWY 23 north and another at the ski hill.

7-8 years ago we used to spend do much money down town

Then the plankers invaded, no more sledderz discount e.c.t

So we moved onto sicamous, way better choice anyways

Smoky Bear campground just west of Revelstoke is also geared up for sledders with 30 A hookups, cabins ,bed and breakfast rooms ,10 person hot tub and laundry facilities.

I was thinking about doing the same. What are the rates, I have a 37 foot toy hauler

It’s good to see these places developing around Revelstoke. We have far too many “ campers” on the streets of town some even with wood stoves burning and how that can be construed as legal is beyond me.

With the way we rigged our enclosed up we can sleep in it I'd be more then keen to hit up something like that.

I believe they both( Boulder Mountain and Smoky Bear ) have similar amenities although I don’t know that Boulder has laundry yet. They both have websites .

Boulder mnt is building a sled shed it’s a hang out spot and a garage if you need to work on sled it should almost be ready

Isn't Boulder Mountain like $200 per night per person?

No I think the cabins are 299. Night
We are in holiday trailer it’s 55 night fir short stay and Iam 1000 month all amenities incl feb we had 11 nights alone so way cheaper than hotel

Area 51 was fantastic Sunday. Crappy ride up though. Oh well. We had the place to ourselves. Seems they got 12-18" Friday the 22nd.

Tuesday we had a great day at Griffin. Seems south of the hwy got more than north. Well worth the 12 km of whoops.
