The fact that the club is discounting passes due to current conditions is very generous and unnecessary IMO. I'm sure repair costs of the groomer don't get cheaper when snow conditions aren't ideal... Thanks for what you do!
You got that right and daily repairs now to grousers, ice picks and welding repairs to the packers.

As was stated in the update we are grooming both mtns every night. the snow at lower levels is saturated and hard to work with, we need cold temps for the trails to set after a groom.
Whats the problem, heavy rain, warm temps and don`t like calling it a problem but very heavy traffic. We have seen 6,000 riders since Nov.22 with very little snowfall in the valley.

There was snowfall forecasted last night, it didn`t happen. We need snow to the lots to accommodate parking for our members and guests who are coming to Revelstoke for the holidays. Because no snow happened we discounted the passes or suggested riders visit one of the other 9 areas in Revelstoke that the club works with Gov. to keep open for us all to snowmobile.

There is always a manager, a supervisor or a director at the staging areas everyday should anyone ever like to discuss their concerns.

Another snowfall warning tonight, sure hope so.

Its all that hot air drifting up from your government and the protesters in Vancouver causing all this snow melting.

So you spent $50 to keep your wife out of the shopping malls this time of year. Sounds like a bargain to me.
Didn't think of it like that, what a bargain Seriously, I don't mind supporting clubs that work to keep areas open. I'm spoiled
as we ride a lot S of the border and some of the best riding areas have no grooming, not many people (or none) and sweet terrain and untracked pow. Awesome riding up here too, just need to know how to get into areas without the "others" as most of the popular areas are crowded. Cheers

Getting reports from friends that the snow is unreal deep right now. Forget the Facebook drama started by local has beens and just go ride. Yes there is a bit of gravel bombing to be done due to the weather conditions. Did you know that it is difficult to groom slush snow on top of wet dirt? The groomers are taking a beating this season to satisfy people and they are still complaining. And no, 200 trucks can not go up the logging road to park. Especially when the bulk of them are towing huge trailers. The ignorant comments being posted on Facebook make me embarrassed to be a snowmobiler. We need to be better than this if we want to keep the remaining area we have left to ride in.

Spun out semis made for hours of waiting by Heather Mtn Lodge last night(west of Quartz)
Hope they put a pile of gravel on that ice before weekend/holiday traffic hits

Got back to Calgary at 7 this morning, left revy at 7 (2hr nap included)

Brutal.. I think it’s time for a minimal and immediate one month license suspension for truckers who cause traffic delays because they’ve spun out. Absolute laziness.

Saw this on Revy web page. Figured it was worth the post.

Update Dec. 21/18[/h]
Trail passes continue to be $15 today. An additional discount of $5 will not be offered at this price for fellow members of other BCSF clubs.
There is snow in the lot at Frisby and patches of snirt at lower elevation.
The lot at Boulder is dirt, you are riding 1 km. of dirt before you reach snow. We are grooming from 2.5 km.
We are grooming both Boulder and Frisby every evening and doing additional day grooms Thurs.-Sat. again this wknd. You can check grooming reports here every morning and at the trailheads at 7 a.m.
http://revelstokesnowmobileclub.com/category/grooming-reports/
We would like to remind riders being belligerent to our staff is not acceptable behavior, you will be asked to leave and the RCMP will be called.
You can not drive your vehicle past the trailheads, the roads are deemed snowmobile trails now. Vehicles and snowmobiles can not be on the road at the same time, it is dangerous.
We are trying to deal with the conditions we have right now and trying to work with you all to accommodate our members and guests.
If you find the options we can provide you now at this time are not desirable we would like to suggest you ride any of the other 9 areas the Club works with Gov. to keep open for you to snowmobile at in the Revelstoke area.
