Im hoping skidoo steps it up a bit. Alot of easy weight for them to lose. More efficient driveline...lighter primary, belt drive. Rear suspension with no torsion springs. Lighter intake system (hood is 18lbs!). I think they have a lot of easy weight they could shed if they wanted to. Be interesting to try an even narrower stance and higher CofG on the mountain sleds. More hp would be nice but not necessary if they lightened things up.

Honda is finally getting in to the sled market for 2017. It will be using a modified Type RA615H formula 1 engine. They expect it will weigh less than the Yamaha line of snowmobiles.

I'm willing to bet Ski Doo will have a new sled, Cat will have a new motor and Polaris will make a flux capacitor that will retro fit on all their previous models to take them back to the future so they might be a bit more reliable.

BRP will have a revised 600 possibly year that will make it's way into a 800. Next gen of Etec.

Doo also has some interesting clutch patents floating around.

Gut feeling says Yamaha is on the verge of releasing of something.
