Re: 2017 New Summit

It would out climb or it has out climbed the 174? I doubt it will. I had a 163 T3 and now on a 174 T3, the 174 will climb and climb forever. 163 would have flipped over backwards.

Bull**** !!!
I seen and heard it on the net that the 165 is top dog . Lol

Re: 2017 New Summit

Dave said he did a climb on the new 165 850cc, then jumped back on the older 800 etec 174 and was not able to even go up in its marks.. That's huge guys

Re: 2017 New Summit

so no 850 and 174 combo? if not that sux

Gotta save that for next year, can't release all the goodies in one shot. Works out great, the colours are brutal this year. Next year will have the 174 and maybe a t3 package?

And you believe that? I just watched a video of him call a Freeride a 174 and say the new e mod is forged, he was being corrected every second word from a guy beside him.

I understand the internet prices look a little high, but does anyone actually pay that price? I bet you could safely take at least $1000 off, maybe more.

Re: OK.. Fresh thoughts, new machine the new summit..

It will be a better Summit. More power, lighter and narrower. Also a better clutch. But it still has gummy soft suspension.

The weight is still 30 lbs heavier than the AXYS and with the bigger stator and larger bore, I expect it will be even harder to pull start so many guys will opt for the e-start, adding another 20 pounds.

The AXYS is still dollar for dollar a contender even when adding $900 for an SLP exhaust systems to add 9HP to put it closer to this new Doo power plant.

It will be interesting to see if the other manufacturers have an answer to the 850 cc motor? Maybe they all have a big bore ready to go but each was waiting for the others to release it?

All in all this release is great for the sport because it adds pressure to the competition to give us better sleds.

He should start his own thread and spare us from reading his biased nonsensical diarrhea. May I suggest under Axys. It could use a little of his help. Its must be hard to keep a tread going when half of the sleds are in the garage waiting for back ordered A Arms.
When there is 5 or 6 or 7 threads going on the same topic.....which one should he post on????

Re: 2017 New Summit

im impressed with the new rev, i think that once again skidoo has made the high mark for a mountain sled. I just knew that as soon as poo dropped the best they could do with the axys, doo was gonna release something that poo couldnt match. Best case polaris has a larger motor in 5 years or more. Until then the king of the hill has arrived.

That said i rode a 880 BB etec and although it was nice.... it was no turbo. A stock 2 stroke turbo will take the crown pretty dam fast.

They increased the stroke not the bore. Even though all things being equal it would pull a little harder. If it is like the 800 it will start one handed in a half pull.

Re: 2017 New Summit

I would have thought the clutch up grade alone would have been good enough....massive amount of upgrades for one year. What a weight loss.

Re: 2017 New Summit

the lighter clutch will make it harder to pull over for sure, unless they changed the design of the recoil

Re: 2017 New Summit

Yeah girly men out there might have a hard time pulling this thing over, real men will be fine....lol

we aren't all big tough burly young men!!! lol, just saying it will make it harder. i have a race clutch on my sled and people that start it notice the difference immediately. anyone will agree that they are a tough pull after spending some time digging a sled out of a tree well gasping for air. it still wont make me put e start on mine.

I was just kidding man, I know some people have bad backs ext. Im in real good shape so not an issue for me. But E-start would be nice, just don't want the extra weight.

it definently wouldnt hurt to change up the recoil ive been battling with my recoil way to often lately but the 872 might be part of that issue
