I haven't been able to figure out the difference between the SP and X boards, but I saw on the website that something with the new boards is an X only feature...

Sorry, gallon and a half not litre

ew 9.5-gallon compact fuel tank (Here's a secret you were kept in the dark about for the last few years: the 10.6-gallon tank on your XM could never use the last gallon and a half, no matter what angle you moved to. So with the new 9.5-gallon tank, range isn't any less than with the 8

umm - thats like bad ! were carrying a bunch of weight that we cant get rid of or even use !???

Can anyone list the differences between the SP and X model?

X model is spring check only, correct?

2015 T3 163 = 459lbs.
2017 Summit 165 = 447lbs

Am I missing something? Where's the 25lbs??

Why don't they call the 174 a T3 anymore?

Yeah it's the same math they used when they dyno'ed the 800 Etec. New motor has 10hp more. Lmfao

The boards look different between the X and sp and the sp has been known to be snochecked in the past.

It seems BRP used dynotec to dyno the motor and used a hot ecu and a cold motor to get one run at 163.9. Engineers stated the motor was only ever built for 155. "They" BRP used that dyno run to sell us on the 163.9hp even though they de-tuned it when they sold it to customers.

Which is what I was poking fun at, BRPs French math when Merc63 said the weight figures didn't add up. Maybe they are including the weight of the gallon and a half of fuel we have been packing around that we could never use in the tank. Guess that was a survival feature built in, you could dump the gas and burn it if stranded.

I asked the question and All Terrain Motorsports answers the question when they were live streaming from the event.

Re: OK.. Fresh thoughts, new machine the new summit..

Free ride colors on a summit would have been cool, same as a 174 with all the other new stuff.

Oh, and the new boards look pretty good.

So
Re: 2017 New Summit

So it's
-25 pounds lighter
-centerd the engine
-self cleaning boards
-toe hook for carving
-narrowd the sled for less effort to roll
-50/50 weight for side to side
-beveled the tunnel
-made seat smaller
-taperd the tunnel
-bigger track voids
-Digital gauge
-narrow panels
-raised rear bumper
?
it seems Polaris has already done all that
in 2011 all the way to 2015 with the pro rmk (and now surpassed it all with rased tunnel design )

so this doo looks like old news ( real old technology they should have done 6 years ago to keep up with Polaris )
It's to bad it took doo this long to see what works so well for Polaris and now they adopt it them selves

but the new E tec engine looks sick
and the new tunnel looks like it will transfer heat realy well

T motion mimics a 15" track with 2x the parts with no stiff edge for bite

Just saying my part
lol
but think about all those mountain doo s out there right now that arnt close to a Polaris like this new doo Lol

Re: 2017 New Summit

Actually can't really think of too many Doo's broke down, throttle cable froze, engine blown, no real storage system, smoking like it's on fire, belt shredding and basically a piece of crap like a polaris is. Maybe you should remember to be nicer or us Doo guys won't be towing you guys out and listen to your lame excuses on why your Polaris Sucks AZZ

and you would think that within those 6 years polaris could make a good sled but still, year after year, bottle of glue after bottle of glue they still make a pile of $hit.

Well each to there own and I'm not here to stir the pot as I think the changes are great but 90 percent of these changes are a mirror image of what polaris did last year and you cant argue with that no matter how much yellow blood you have I'm your
Veins.
