Can anyone list the differences between the SP and X model?

X model is spring check only, correct?

The sp comes with boards that are stamped and with straight handlebars. The x boards are extruded and sit .8" higher than the sp. the x bars are the bent bars.

Re: OK.. Fresh thoughts, new machine the new summit..

2017 doo/2011-2015pro rmk
So the 2017 doo is
-25 pounds lighter
-centerd the engine
-self cleaning boards
-toe hook for carving
-narrowd the sled for less effort to roll
-50/50 weight for side to side
-beveled the tunnel
-made seat smaller
-taperd the tunnel
-bigger track voids
-Digital gauge
-narrow panels
-raised rear bumper
?
it seems Polaris has already done all that
in 2011 all the way to 2015 with the pro rmk (and now surpassed it all with rased tunnel design 2016 )

so this doo looks like old news ( real old technology they should have done 6 years ago to keep up with Polaris )
It's to bad it took doo this long to see what works so well for Polaris and now they adopt it them selves

but the new E tec engine looks sick
and the new tunnel looks like it will transfer heat realy well

T motion mimics a 15" track with 2x the parts with no stiff edge for bite

Just saying my part
lol
but think about all those mountain doo s out there right now that arnt close to a Polaris like this new doo Lol
there like trail sleds or some shxt

Its like deja vu, I swear I read this chit 4 times already:rolleyes:

loaded 174 x t3 at $16,549 plus pdi/set up= holy crap
loaded 165 x 850 at $16,149 plus -plus
dont think many snow checks will happen this year
most dealers still have a pile of 15's and 16's left
be interesting to see how much more rebates happen to blow them out

Re: 2017 New Summit

I don't usually say to much but my 14 pro with the bottle of glue has been through hell and back in the last 2 weeks and has bounced off more that a few trees and has stayed together even with all the GLUE. My chest protector has also been a HUGE asset to me. Just saying my 2 cents worth.
and you would think that within those 6 years polaris could make a good sled but still, year after year, bottle of glue after bottle of glue they still make a pile of $hit.

Re: OK.. Fresh thoughts, new machine the new summit..

There are too many threads on this, Move it to the new category if we need.

New Chassis, new motor, new track.

Should be interesting to hear realistic thoughts... not bashing brand=ers...etc.

Thanks
Good luck on this site

Clearly MarkCos feels his rant is a crowning achievement in an otherwise very boring empty life. That's why he felt the need to copy and paste it across all the threads.

If you haven't already figured out Mr Cat- this is a very big deal. Likely deserving of at least 13- 15 threads.

Re: 2017 New Summit

Basically ya, doo did make a lot of the same changes poo did previously. I just feel they did a better job of it. Next season will tell the tale.

I would have thought that the main purpose of the bigger engine is to spin the 174" track. Maybe next year.

Re: OK.. Fresh thoughts, new machine the new summit..

I made this now that the unit info is out. We don't have to search through 2000 posts to read speculation.

Plus it's more threads for Mike#$%$# to spread his likes...

If you don't like it, don't read it, or post. Thanks.

Too many threads on this so start another one? Makes sense

40% increase in price compared to the outgoing model. That alone makes these 2017's special!

Re: 2017 New Summit

It would out climb or it has out climbed the 174? I doubt it will. I had a 163 T3 and now on a 174 T3, the 174 will climb and climb forever. 163 would have flipped over backwards.
