LOL my bad. i thought you said the sled was on par with the others.

Its okay Sean, even you are allowed to make a mistake I suppose.

But honestly, since I first heard about this sled I have been interested and excited for the release. Not sure why so many people are disappointed, looking forward to trying one.

Bingo and thats what its all about. listening to the customers. they added more power, lost weight, and address many small issues. oh and released a total new chassis and engine LOL. knocked it out of the park. very surprised to see them let this many tricks out of the bag at once

Isn't their list weight for the 165 the same as the 08 163?

What I do like is the 2.5" track option.

I sure like the removable con rods and oil feed to them, it's about time someone tried this.

The fuel tank is lost some capacity ? or am I wrong ?

Sorry, gallon and a half not litre

[h=3]ew 9.5-gallon compact fuel tank (Here's a secret you were kept in the dark about for the last few years: the 10.6-gallon tank on your XM could never use the last gallon and a half, no matter what angle you moved to. So with the new 9.5-gallon tank, range isn't any less than with the 800 E-Tec).[/h]

OK.. Fresh thoughts, new machine the new summit..

There are too many threads on this, Move it to the new category if we need.

New Chassis, new motor, new track.

Should be interesting to hear realistic thoughts... not bashing brand=ers...etc.

Thanks

The other ones are speculation mostly. This one is the first one dedicated to the facts as per the doo release.

Haven't been able to access the ski-doo site (down), but it looks like ski-doo has definitely done their homework. Personally, I like the "vintage" body lines, reminds me of the older Blizzards. I would imagine they are running some sort of anti-stab at the front of the rails? 3.5" track pitch is pretty huge, 3" pitch needs anti-stab in most cases...

Think the new 850 should be a great machine. More power, less weight, stronger and better boards what more could you ask for. the real question is can you get it in the burton edition

Re: OK.. Fresh thoughts, new machine the new summit..

I think they did a damn fine job, I like the looks of the new bodywork (and I don't bleed yellow or drink doo-laid). Refinements are good for the entire industry, as it makes all manufacturers step up their game. I was honestly surprised at the amount of changes considering the dismal economy and low snow levels the last couple years...

2015 T3 163 = 459lbs.
2017 Summit 165 = 447lbs

Am I missing something? Where's the 25lbs??

Why don't they call the 174 a T3 anymore?
