I have 2 2016 Polaris RMK's (SKS Models), and noticed a difference in them. My Wife's runs at around 8050 rpm when climbing in deep snow. Mine hits 7600 - 7800 at most. Any suggestions on what to check would be appreciated. It pains me to see her climbing past my stuck ass! lol.

Clutch spring and weights I’d say, when is the last time you put a new primary spring in?

Does she weigh about 60 lbs less than you even if you get your sled to run like hers she will still beat you sounds like she can ride

Both sleds are down on RPM. Peak Power is 8250 RPM.

Have you checked your belt deflection? How many miles are on the sled? You're supposed to change the springs every 1000 miles to maintain peak performance. Have you cleaned you clutches? Sounds like a good service is in order, Or possibly some better clutch components.

Sounds like the following:
- Check belt setup / deflection
- Change springs
- Change weights, and make sure they are the right ones
- Clean Clutch

I will start with these and then also have a look at the exhaust valves, but I think they are opening ok.

BTW, Yes, she can ride, but I was riding them both to compare. Certainly a difference.

Awesome help. Thank you !

One more question. Any suggestions on where to get the clutch puller and holder at a "reasonable" price? Dealer is $590!

Recreation Supply out of Saskatoon has them. Go on their website and pick what you want from their winter catalog and I can order in for you. The shipping is usually next day. PM me what you choose.

Check motor mounts too. Don't waste your time on a cheap puller, the axys clutches are very tight from factory. Make sure you get a hardened puller, Dalton has one and I'm sure a few others.

Who in their right mind sells a clutch puller and holder for that price together the most you would likely have to pay is around 200.00 that is highway robbery
