Kanedog is missing in action. Maybe in a Chinese prison or shot trying to enter North Korea?

stock fuel pump or aftermarket. mine does the same, let off the gas and it picks it back up, most times i am already fuc$ered though. hoping this solves my issues!

factory fuel pump. i just replaced the fuel pump and not the whole assembly with a stock equivalent pump. as it is way cheaper than buying the whole fuel pump module from ski doo

Do a fuel pressure test. Put gage in between fuel filter and ECU.
bad pump

good pump from ebay

On shut down, should hold over 41psi for 1/2 a beer. And if at 1/2 a beer still 41 or over, the pump is good.

Then look at your clutching and take primary spring end force and raise it by 30 pounds, and/or take the secondary spring start force and raise it 30 pounds or do both.
30 pounds on the end of the pri spring and 30 pounds on the start of the sec spring; each will add around 10~12 pounds at the track speed you're losing engine speed at which is the equivalent of running 1/2 a clicker more at-that-track speed. Preferably at the same location and elevations.

So if you have an xxx/350 pri spring then go xxx/380.
if you have a 160/xxx secondary spring then go 200/xxx
Fck sakes...do both and rule out there is an engine management problem. Shock the clutching in such a manner it FORCES the engine speed to do something different. Basically yer trying to hit the engine with a big hammer to see if something's going to come loose or a crack will show, and you can do it through clutch settings. What cracks will reveal IF you shock the system through new clutch settings?

And IF the engine speed does not drop, like maintains 7900~8000 but feels "weak" then, back to looking for a different engine management problem(S). The next thing i would do is rule-out an exhaust pipe pressure problem and put the stock muffler back on and test. And make sure the vent line from the ECU out to the mag side, side panel is free from obstructions, like cattails or a kink or melted line.

Well my 13 xm was giving me a similar problem and it turned out to be the mag side coil . Took me a year to figure out . Acted up more with heat build up on trails in and out .

Same same! It takes so long to track down the engine issues on the xm. Two full years for me! I’m gonna for a new engine, bent crank, 3000kms. Will report back
