brp or camoplast will have to build a new flex edge 172 x16x3. therefore the pitch should be the same as a 163,that way people who want to upgrade to the 172 flex edge on the t motion can without changing their drivers. just a thought

And a good thought at that, however BRP does a stellar job of always finding new ways to extract more $$ from the consumer, the pitch will change so we will all have to by new drivers along with the 172" track on previous model year sleds...

Current 174s are all a 3" pitch track. 2.86s will fit but not exact.

Calculate a quick % of change between 146-154 & 154-163 and youll find the same step up from a 163 is a 172

You are the man with the numbers! I was just repeating what I was told from a reliable source. You know, all I doo is ride 'em! Numbers aren't my forte!

If i'm not mistaken I think going from a 154 to 163 puts an additional 4in of track on snow. So going to 172 would do the same?

Do that many people really want a 174 land yacht? LMAO

personally i would stick with 163….But i think a lot of guys would go with the 172 if they come out with one…I got to take a TSS turbo for a quick ripp and thats what i am gonna start saving for!!!

Probably,, I think most of them would regret it though and wind up going back to a 163 on their next sled. Who knows, guess we'll see.

I can't see anyone that rides steep and deep regretting a 174. If jumps and general free riding are your thing then ya might not be the best choice

I realize that you do. And I'm glad you like your 154 they are sick sleds. But the amount of people adding 174 tracks an 3" to previous model year sleds tells me it's in demand. I said I would never ride a 163 either but here I am. So we'll see. I think it will be a hit if released

For me 163 goes pretty much every where i wanna go ! 174 X 3 for those days of chest powder ---- maybe ! Not sure theres enough hp to turn that footprint from a 800 etec ! if it comes in the 900/1200 powerplant then u gotta deal with the extra weight ???

There is enough motor for that track. Guys are building them everyday. There is surprisingly alot of them out there.
