2015 cat vs 2015 polaris assault

Looking at getting a lightweight 800 for the mountains. Which sled is better for mountains and some flatland riding. Not really worried about getting the highmark, more about boondocking and easy to throw around.

I'd say go with the poo, get a XM oil cap and crank up your oiler a turn or 2. But then again i've never ridden a cat

Might be good to see if you can demo both?

From what i've seen there is really good deals to be had for both sleds

Thanks for the offer dabensmiller, looks like a nice sled, but I need a 800. So the oil cap is no good on the Polaris?

2016 Arctic cat m8000 141 with a 2.6 track will out last any Polaris

lots of guys switch the track out of the assault to a pro track and it has a much wider front end than the pro I believe.

what's wrong with the caps? I have a 14 pro and never a issue with the cap

You would be way happier with a 16 cat but if its a budget thing. The 15's are a great machine as well. really good deals on new 15's as well. Cycle works reddeer has a listing up and my dealer here has a bunch of 15's he is trying to get rid of.
