All you buys can talk logistics, changes etc, all I know is it's gonna be a heck of a lot better than my '04 Rev. Love that sled, but I'm sure a 2014 Summit X I will love even more.

I'm sure it could be lighter, faster, have a hover button etc but coming off the 04 for me is a huge improvement. Totally understand why anyone with a newer sled or the same style chassis could feel that there should be more improvements made however.

I'm curious to see if it will have some of the same issues my 04 had. y pip bolts backing off and things of that nature. You should hope that they would fix known issues like that.

there will always be someting better from the manufacture.... thats what keeps you buying it. You purchase based on your reasoning and accept it.

change is good but too much is bad... example, polaris good sled just needs a little refining

and comparing a mod sled to a stock is not a fair comparison, i might be waiting a while for BRP to come out with 180hp and 3" tracks

right now i am trying to figure out if i should get the new summit x or a freeride. hmmm....

Come one.......they havent changed the chassis, they have tweaked it with a wobbly skid and a flex track. I have aftermarket suspension on mine that I think works better than the XMs I have rode. Yes the engine has changed, but my Ptec with a 14:1 head still out does any XM I have been around. Like I said, my sled isnt completely stock. I have Toms suspension, evol Rs, 2.5 Challenger extreme, 14:1 head, can, roosterbuilt clutching, airframes, rave mod, 2 wheel kit, S36, and probably a few other things so its not apples to apples. All Im saying is that the XMs I have ridden arent night and day enough to make me want to switch yet. If they lost a bunch of wieght I probably would.

You've got to be kidding if you seriously think you cant tell the difference from an xm to 2010! Pretty sure 10 out of 10 people could tell the difference from getting on 2010 to 2011. Never mind getting on a 2010 ptek (even with your mods) to a 2013 etec xm. But hey keep spending your money on that 2010 and those mods. Your probably close to $20k+ invested just to have something that is apparently no different than an xm.

Still waiting for the list of changes.

I wasn't expecting anything earth shattering but a little more than just BNGs. Maybe a little weight loss, slight horsepower increase or skid adjustment to help reduce trenching. Enough changes that if I had a brand new 13 and 14 XM infront of me that I would be willing to spend $2000 extra for the 14.

I don't see why doo couldn't make their can lighter, Polaris did it and its nowhere near as loud as a aftermarket one, the size and mass of the doo suit case is retarded.
I do not put cans on my sleds to make them louder.

The Fox floats are what should come with the X models. The goggle case on the clutch cover also looks good. I have a Cat goggle case in the same place right now and it works great for drying out wet goggles. Much better than the glove box. The XC bumper looks pretty beefy. Wonder what it weighs? Also see they have an S-module brace. Doesn't look as good as the Grip N Rip braces though.
