Out the over flow hose, only place I see remnants. Anyone else have a similar issue? Has done it twice now. Has not over heated, and have checked running temp. All clamps are good

Are you just idling in the garage or running it in the field. There's not a huge amount of snow out there, it might have just got a little high on the temp scale. It might have just been overfilled on PDI, since its a brand new sled its going to take some time to reach equilibrium and get all the air bubbles out of the system, don't get too worked up over an ounce of antifreeze. if the level in the bottle is good and the running temp is good, then it should be fine. It will expand when hot so if you have it filled right to the full line already when cold then its probably going to overflow. Lift the back of the sled wayyy up on something so its on about a 45 degree angle, then lift the front wayyyy up on something to about the same angle. start it up and let the coolant circulate a couple mins while the front is elevated. Hopefully this will draw any air bubbles to the front of the system and out the coolant bottle.

If the bottle level is dropping and the level is too low, your cap might be faulty and prematurely opening causing the coolant to overflow. The cap is the only redundant thing in the system, its designed to hold a certain pressure.

Never noticed nor tried a cap, also I've never noticed any coolant leaking, although I over heated on the trail with scratchers down, sat for 10 min and within a km it overheated again so I looked at the coolant on the trail and was down over a litre, took two 500ml water bottles to bring it back up to the line, it was +2 out so I wasn't worried about it freezing, when is got home I syphoned as much out as I could and replaced it with concentrated and it's at -45 now so I'm good to go but I will keep an eye on that...

So did any of you find out what was the problem here? I have the same problem on my XF1100t, pushing fluid out the overflow hose when running full throttle... Changed out the cap and bleed the system for air, still pushing out fluid, but not when riding half throttle or when idle... Any ideas?

On my 800, it definitely was the cap. It was faulty, bottom piece was actually broken and wouldn't allow pressure to build up. Yours being a four stroke, you may be looking at a head gasket leak. Don't know if a coolant leak down test would have enough pressure to test this but may be worthwhile

Bringing this one back to the top. My 14 started leaking today but it is not the cap that is faulty. The bottle is egg shaped at the opening so the locking tabs on the cap slip off the tank in the full closed position. Anyone else seen this.

Machined stainless steel insert. Able to install without removing the tank. Going to try it out and see how it works.

Testing went great. Did 160km on the weekend no leaking and the neck seems to be keeping formed.
