Nope thats what the HCR with the competition track does. Im not to sure why alot of guys like the HCR im sure its a fun sled when doing the jackson hole hill climb but in the mountains on deep powder days it doesnt work very well. I was thinking about doing a new xm but I would like to try the new cat and see what its all about. Im really liking the new colors i think it will stand out with the new freerides. But does anybody know if cat has the belt issues figured cause that is one of the main things thats keeping me from them.

So far I have about 550 miles on my 13 M8.....no issues....belt looks like new.....

They are both 12's.
I question it as I have been told by a few guys that I have ran into on the hill and one guy in a group I ride with said that they have been going through belts like crazy so im not to sure what to say now. I also have spoke with mr. linderman and he has been researching a fix for the belt problems so I dont think he would be doing that for nothing. Im not trying to start a bash I just wanna know the facts if the belt issue that I have heard about has been resolved or was it just to some select production machines? And what year are your proclimbs tylerg and mike. If yours are both 13s the issue may have only been with the 12s

Spoken like a true yamaha fan.....lol, balance is huge factor in making a mountain sled work, my mseries side to side wasn't that bad until I took the suitcase off and put a can on, then you could really notice how much heavier the clutch side was, a lil tuning on the front shocks fixed that a lil bit

lol... here is a picture of my ride

and yes I know I should take the seat jack off before posing for pictures...

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for feedback on the 2014 Arctic Cat line up?
What are you happy about? What disappointed you?
You thinking of stepping into a 2014 or are you waiting until 2015?

Let er' rip! Tell us whats up.

:behindsofa:

The 2014's look so SWEEEEEET!! The improvements for the M sleds are HUGE and I'm absolutely in love with the black/white Limited. The newer, shorter seat with storage is a really awesome feature and the bigger gas tank is also a bonus. The weight loss will be nice as well. I currently have a 12 PC LTD., and my hubby has the 13 PC LTD. I have 1800 miles and still running the original 084 belt, riding in all conditions in the steep and deep. I run a full vent kit, MBRP can and a 2.5 CE, so pretty much stock other than a dropped skid. My hubby just happened to blow his belt last trip on his 13, but he had over 700 miles on it....and they weren't easy miles lol. I actually have made it a point not to ride the 13 because everytime I get on that sled I don't want to get back on my 12, the improvements on the 13 are that HUGE....that 2.6 track is awesome....really hooks up and stays on top of the snow. The narrower ski stance and the loss of the rear heat exchanger make such big differences in the handling, and the nimbleness of the sled. So easy to throw around it blows my mind. I can't imagine what the 14's will feel like. Love, love, love the PC chassis. Some really exciting things are happening for AC in the coming years, especially with a new engine for the mountain segment coming up for 2015.

I would like to see wide open tubular aftermarket style running boards and a good quality coilover rear skid shock, I'm tired of bagged out floats.

Off of SnowWest.....

Lightweight ski psindles deliver nearly 1 lb weight reduction
Reduced weight seat
Lightweight driveshaft, drive sprockets and aluminum bottom gear in chaincase
New lightweight brake disc
Aluminum spars (instead of steel) and a HCR heat exchanger system (where the heat exchanger is only in the front, as it was on the '13 Ltds)
Lightweight aluminum axles; lightweight shock bushings and new rail cap
Leightweight shock bushings and 8mm suspension hardware (instead of 10mm)
New driven clutch sheave with larger cooling fins reduce drive belt temp

That's what I have for where the weight reduction is coming from so far...

I really like the orange and black.

weight loss is ok but as long as its still a strong sled ..myself i would rather have something heavier but reliable.

So cat is still having suzuki motors for 2014 ?

The 2013 m 800 rip when they run but im done with cats junk 2 Revy trips and today ruined by belts, clutches and just wont even run.

mine-2013-800ltd 153 jaws can 20 tooth top gear clutch and knee vents-bad vibration since new, 600 miles on first belt then pop pop pop 3 in a row, get realighned 1 day out blow crappy secondary(helix bolts break) 2 days later dies and is still at shop, cluthes would still sizzle snow after alighnment and venting.

bros-2013-800ltd 162 mbrp can 20 tooth top gear small vibration from new- 300 miles on first belt, get realighned, crappy secondary(helix bolts all gone tow out) and another blown belt

dads-2013-800ltd 163 jaws can stock gear small vibration since new -100 miles on first belt get alighned, clutches still sizle snow, plastic bushing in secondary or something blow still in shop

and the terrible handle bar play is stupid oh and the bs anti stab kits we had to put on cause the recall was on back order. Sorry im done ski doo here I come

Yes, the Suzuki built 800 2 stroke and the Suzuki built 1100 turbo are still available for 2014.

Cat also released their own Cat built 600 2 stroke C-TEC and the Yamaha 4 stroke triple in a few of their sleds for 2014

Talked to a dealer just back from the Cat Show. He told me the problem was too much slack in the secondary. The 2014 secondary clutch has a few changes like bigger bolts they also claim to have improved cooling with a dedicated air scoop for the clutch area.
Did the 13 get up on top of the snow or does it trench like the 12?

It should be better than the 12. They changed rear suspension geometry added a 2.6" track on the snopro models.

Demoed a 13 all day yesterday as I'm thinking of snow checking a '14. Liked everything about the sled other than the clutching (stock) and the vibration. Is the vibration due to the poor clutching with these sleds?

in regards to your handle bar play.... PM PDQ here on the site, he has a bearing number to replace their bushings with that takes that play away!
