Once again a big shout out to Terry and Lisa and Summit River Lodge. The meals were all outstanding and comfortable and cozy accommodations too!

Avalanche at morning glory in Clemina on Friday. Before anyone gets in a huff about that slide. Yes it was rider triggered, but not by anyone in our group. ;-)

Thanks again guys! Highly recommend Curtis and crew for training. VERY knowledgeable and tailored to your groups requests. Excellent course! I will feel much more comfortable on the hills now being able to make informed decisions.

The spring snow is changing drastically day by day, it is all about timing and a little bit of luck at this point to have the perfect day of fresh snow and sunshine. The weather forecast is looking great for a sunny weekend of spring riding. The staging areas are beginning to melt quickly although the access trails still have full cover and we are still on our full grooming schedule. Please understand that in these warm temps, the lower sections of trails simply just do not stand up to the weather and deteriorate quickly. We try to manage trail conditions the best we can although there needs to be a balance between expense and revenue. There is hope to continue our grooming operations through to the Easter weekend but it is strictly weather dependent.

I haven't been up the Mtn. since last Sunday, so Im not 100% about what is going on up there. It did snow a bit in the valley bottom last night although it did not add up too much.

Re: Crystal Ridge, it will definitely be spring like conditions up there. The full runs are very long, so please do not send them down alone. Run 1 ad 2 do have shorter sections at the bottom due to the uptrack trail intersecting the run and this makes for a good spot for the kids to ski.

Pretty amazing spring conditions out there. ALL THREE AREAS GROOMED UP FRESH TONIGHT!

If you plan to venture into new and virgin terrain with the spring closures opening, please be super cautious and not take your experiences from the managed areas into this un-ridden terrain.

Virgin terrain requires experienced evaluation and cautious route finding in these touchy conditions. Check Welcome to avalanche.ca before your ride!

Where did you get that front arm to hold the gopro? Love to have one.
Is it a stationary piece or can it be folded up and packed away?
