Had an awsome week of riding, started a little slow but ended pretty epic. Lots of fresh, sled ran sweet and got an extra half day in due to the road closure, itching to get back already, only been a day since riding, haha. Along the same lines as what Curtis said, we seen a couple guys drop into lake view at Clemina on Saturday, not sure they knew what they were dropping into, looked like they had a hard day with just the two of them slugging to just get back up to Goat Ridge, it was that deep! Roads were total crap, hats off to the emergency guys who deal with all the highway issues, busy few days for them!

excellant conditions in vale this weekend, amazing how fast they worked to clean the snow in the parkinglots for the sledders each day,as a sledder we sure appreciate the efforts from varda. disappointing to see next to one truck and trailer in the clemina parking lot they cleaned out garbage from the truck and trailer and threw it all on the ground, when varda works so hard for sledders they dont need a mess like this done by inconsiderate people,

It is very frustrating for them I am sure. Why not clean the trailer out when they get back home. Should pack it up and follow them home and dump it back on there lawn and see how well that goes over.

I'm sure Curtis will chime in with the proper Avy Conditions but from what I saw from snow loads , I would say extreme and stick to the trees for a while. There is so much snow out there it's actually unbelievable till u have to hold sled wide open down hill to get anywhere.
It's been an eventful weekend but no one got hurt or worse.

Yes, both the above statements are correct. Weather stations are showing over a meter of snow in the last 7 days and with the high winds and warm temps, we are LOADED out there for sure. Read the Forecast Details section for your bulletin region from avalanche.ca.

Park safe
Be aware of you surroundings
Give any potential runout a lot of respect
Minimize your exposure to no more than one person at a time

and.....take an avalanche course!

as per the conversation of the garbage in the vale parking lot at clemina we were going to take a pic before leaving but they left before us,we cleaned up most of it,it just ticks a person off how people can be so inconsiderate.as the snow conditions hi avalanche conditions, recomend stay in the trees
