Blue River Weather Conditions.....
Current Temp @ 11:30pm is -10.5 C ....Calm I can see some Stars.....

Roads are bare and dry .....

We could see a chance of Flurries overnight.....We could see Highs of 0C. For Sunday....

Hi Blue Jewel. Thanks for all the updates. For those of us travelling from near and far it is greatly appreciated. We are coming there on Jan 25 and will be staying at the holy smoke. Looking forward to meeting you. We will be riding on the 26, 27, 28. We are not sure just yet what areas to ride. Your thoughts or the suggestions of anyone who has been out in the blue river area are greatly appreciated.

salmon, ground hog, foam creek are all south of town maybe 15 kms or so. All in the same parking lot. Salmon is the larger of the three. All three areas are obviously different terrain. I would say salmon also has the most tree riding and none of these places are for hill climbers. Not many people seem to be into hill climbing big open faces anyway. There are other places close to town. Parberry for example is north of town a few kms and on the east side of the highway. north blue is on the west with access near town. Ungroomed area and not good at all if there is marginal avy conditions or overcast.

Thanks for the info foxstar. There is 6 of us going. 2 of them have been there a couple times so we are not completely in the dark. Lol. Went to valemount last year and rode chapel all 3 days. The POW was amazing and there were only a few small groups on the entire mountain.

That is VERY Unusual for this time of Year BUT We will take it !! Great time to Go Explore and find Us some New Areas to play in !!

We woke up to -25 C. This Morning But it has warmed to -10.1C. Clear BLUE Sky's right now WIND .....Calm

Robin has lived in Blue River for 34 Years Soooo He is the Mountain Man of Blue River !!.....LOL

Update ......

Ok hear is what I have ....." ULLAR " is on a HIGH pressure.....His Wife ( ICE QUEEN) is Mad and there is Ice running through Her Vain's ....It is going to take her until Thursday to Calm down.....

ULLAR Bro FROSTY is here until Thursday also......

MOTHER NATURE should take be taking the " PINEAPPLE EXPRESS " back by Friday .......

The Trail to the Holy Grail is like a HiWay right now......Blue River NEEDS SNOW ....We have NOT had any Snow for 20 Days now....All Our Trails are pounded

We woke up to -30.5 this morning it is -19.7 C. and falling fast @ 11pm.

They are saying maybe this Weekend for the White Stuff......

Cold for Wednesday , Thursday then Temps start to get back to -10 by the Weekend......

Have read here that no more parking at the dump.
10 days ago the river/creek crossing was frozen and good to cross.
With the cold temps I am guessing the river is still frozen

Well here it is....-40C OR -40F that is with the Wind Chill at this time 8:00pm there is NO Wind

Current Temp . Is -21.3C falling fairly fast Humm....I will keep a eye on that.

Tonight & Tomorrow Night will be the worst then We are to Start the Climb back Up to " Normal " Temps.

Thats it Not pretty but that's it for now.....
